Objective: To explore the femoral insertion position change influence on the isometric characteristics in MPFL reconstruction. Methods:8 normal adult knee joint specimens of fresh, First with the thin film pressure sensor SsensorA201 measured in the patellofemoral lateralpressure, dissociate MPFL proximal femoral and patella end node(O),select the A、B、C、D four test sites in the femoral(adductor tubercle for the A, medial epicondyle of femur was B,the midpoint of 1/3 arc is C,far point for D points),Measurement of knee flexion patella node to the change of length of each test point. Results: Compare the length of each test point found the far end of the femoral point(D) changes in the length of the smallest and most stable, the biggest change is 1.17 mm, the smallest change is 0.15 mm, then the pressure inside and outside pressure and patellofemoral knee close to normal and statistically significant. Conclusion: In the MPFL reconstruction should as far as possible to the medial epicondyle of femur in front(i.e.the far point) to establish bone tunnel as the center.
