Objective: To measure the serum adiponectin and ferritin levels in patients with nonalcoholic simple fatty liver(NAFL) in Qinghai Region, further investigate the relationship between adiponectin(APN) and ferritin(SF) and NAFL, for the purpose to accumulate clinical data of prevention and treatment of NAFL in our province.Methods: Thirty-nine patients with NAFL and thirty-four cases of healthy individuals were selected during February 2015 to October 2015 in the Affiliated Hospital of Qinghai University, who were tested height, weight, blood pressure(BP), h e m o g l o b i n( H G B), p r o t h r o m b i n t i m e( P T), a l a n i n e a m i n o t r a n s f e r a s e(ALT), total bilirubin(TBIL), albumin(ALB), alkaline phosphatase(ALP), glutamyl transferase(GGT), aspertate aminotransferase(AST), blood uric acid(UA), fasting plasma glucoseblood(FPG), total cholesterol(TC), high-density lipoprotein(HDL), triglycerides(TG), low density lipoprotein(LDL) and abdominal ultrasonography. The serum levels of APN and SF were detected by enzyme-linked immune response and chemiluminescent immunoassay methods respectively. To compare the difference between groups, and the correlation of the serum adiponectin and ferritin and other indexes.Results: 1. Compares with the healthy control, BMI, SBP,DBP,FPG, UA, HGB, ALT, AST, GGT, TG, SF were significantly increased in NAFL patients(P<0.05) while APN and HDL were significantly decreased(P<0.01). 2. Correlation analysis suggested that APN was negatively correlated with TG(r=-0.466, P<0.05) in NAFL patients while there was no correlation with BMI, SBP, DBP, FPG, UA, HGB, TBIL, ALB, PT, ALT, AST, ALP, GGT, TC, LDL, SF(P>0.05). The level of serum SF in NAFL patients showed no correlation with the above indexes(P>0.05). 3.Further linear regression showed that the expression of APN in the serum of NAFL group was affected by TG.Conclusion: 1. APN is significantly decreased in patients with NAFL in Qinghai region while SF is significantly increased. 2. In the group of NAFL, the level of serum APN is negatively correlated with TG, and it is affected by TG. Monitoring its concentration can be taken as a reference index to evaluate the effect before and after treatment of hypertriglyceridemia. 3. Combined detection of serum APN and SF levels can be taken as a clinical index for the diagnosis of NAFL at early stage.
