ObjectiveHealth is the pursuit of human development. Health equity can be a measure of the symbol in a country’s development. This study aims to providing some reference opinion of health equity for the administrative department by investigating the health status of community inhabitants in Kunming city and discussing the influencing factors of health equity. Through this study, more people could understand the concepts of health equity and focus on kinds of factors related to health equity. Promoting people to change unhealthy behaviors and life style and improving the health level and reducing the inequalities in population health.MethodsQuantitative study:A self-designed questionnaire was used to investigate the community residents which were interviewed at home by learning from the fifth household health survey questionnaire in China health service research. A database is established by epidata3.0 and using the SPSS17.0 software to analyze the data. Using the prevalence rate of chronic diseases and two week prevalence rate as the main indicators of residents’ health level. Exploring the demographic, economic indicators and lifestyle to impact on health by single factorx2 test and Multi factor regression analysis. Analyzing the distribution and influencing factors of health equity by concentration index.Qualitative study:literature review. Making interviews with the staff in community health service center and residents in community.Results1.285 samples were investigated. The essential characteristics of objectives included the following aspects:The number of males accounted for 48.8% and women accounted for 51.2%. The age varied from 15 to 86 and most of them are Young and middle-aged. Han was the main nationality(94.7%).Most of them was married (69.1%).Most of them were highly educated, about 66.7% were high middle or above. The occupational type is relatively dispersed. The differences in sex, age, marriage, culture, occupation distribution were found between different income levels.2. The smoking rate of residents in this investigation was 21.4% and most of them are nonsmokers (78.6%). Most residents in this investigation had no habit of drinking (65.6%). More than half of the respondents (65.6%) can maintain regular exercise habits.96.1% of the respondents encountered insomnia problem. The differences in smoking, alcohol consumption, exercise and sleep were found between different income levels.3.The health results which residents test themselves are roughly good.68.1% of the residents thought they had better health status and 60.7% of them were satisfied in their current life. But the self health care state of most residents is not optimistic. Majority of residents had no idea of their blood pressure and blood sugar and also do not have the habit of regular measurement. More than half (55.1%) did not do physical examination over past year. most of them (64.1%) did not have health archives. The differences in Self assessment of health and self health care were found between different income levels.4.The prevalence rate of chronic diseases is about 12.63% among residents. The differences of prevalence rate in gender, culture, smoking, drinking, insomnia and physical examination were found between different income levels. Among residents the two-week prevalence rate is 14.74% and the differences of two-week prevalence were found between different income levels.5. The influence factors of health status are sex, culture degree, Physical examination and income levels. analyzing health equity by using concentration index,the results show that, female, low education level, nearly 12 months without physical and the low income level are all the health risk factors.ConclusionThe health equity of residents is influenced by a variety of social, economic and behavioral factors especially the income. With improving population’s cultural level, quitting smoking and limiting alcohol to keep healthy lifestyle, doing regular health examination, the residents’ health state would get better and better. Playing a roll in the function of "six in one" in community health service center, popularizing the health knowledge, developing disease prevention and community health. More and more people will enjoy the rights and interests of equity in health.
