Background:Cervicogenic headache shows a high incidence trend and the harm becomes more serious. The acupoint-injection therapy with distinct Chinese characteristics and efficacy advantages becomes more important on cervicogenic headache. The members of the brain center of the Third Affiliated Hospital of Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine tested for the optimization of acupoint-injection therapy. The conclusion[1] is that the injection With anti-inflammatory analgesics in Fengchi and Tb-16, treating for three times by two or four days’ interval time is the best treatment to relieve headache. It is also the best treatment to reduce the stiffness of neck and increase the range of cervical spine. In this experiment, a further optimization will be found about the acupuncture points, drugs and injection dose which is based on the pre-experiment.Objective:To find the further optimization of acupoint-injection therapy on cervicogenic headache and check the interactions among the factors.Method:80 patients with cervicogenic headache come from the headache clinic and ward of neurological department of The Third Affiliated Hospital of Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine. They will be divided into 8 groups randomly and be scheduled for injections according to L8 (23) orthogonal design table [Ls (23) refers to the 3 factor 2 level 8 test].The frequency of treatment is once every two days, and the total of treatment is 3 times. The evaluation of relieving headache will be done by the VAS weighted value score two days,a week and a month after treatment. The evaluation of reducing the stiffness of neck and increasing the range of cervical spine will be done by the ROM score a month after treatment. At the same time, the baseline situation and the safety index will be observed, and the adverse reactions will be found and treated in time.Result:The VAS weighted value score is higher when we inject 3ml drugs in Fengchi,1 inch to the fourth cervical jiaji point and 1 inch to the sixth cervical jiaji point two days, a week and a month after treatment. The ROM score is lower when we inject 3ml drugs in Fengchi,1 inch to the fourth cervical jiaji point and 1 inch to the sixth cervical jiaji point a month after treatment. The acupuncture point and the injection dose are main factors. There is an interaction between the acupuncture point and the injection dose two days after treatment. At the same time, there is an interaction between the drug and the injection dose. While the interaction between the acupuncture point and the drug is not significant. The interactions among the acupuncture point, the drug and the injection dose are not significant a week and a month after treatment.ConcIusion:The further optimization of acupoint-injection therapy on cervicogenic headache is that it is the better treatment to relieve headache when we inject 3ml drugs in Fengchi,1 inch to the fourth cervical jiaji point and 1 inch to the sixth cervical jiaji point two days, a week and a month after treatment. It is the better treatment to reduce the stiffness of neck and increase the range of cervical spine when we inject 3ml drugs in Fengchi,1 inch to the fourth cervical jiaji point and 1 inch to the sixth cervical jiaji point a month after treatment. There is an interaction between the acupuncture point and the injection dose two days after treatment. At the same time, there is an interaction between the drug and the injection dose. While the interaction between the acupuncture point and the drug is not significant. The interactions among the acupuncture point, the drug and the injection dose are not significant a week and a month after treatment.
