Objective:To describe the clinical feature of postmenopausal ovarian endometriosis. Methods:From September 2006 to February 2015, there were 33 patients of postmenopausal endometriosis treated with surgery in our hospital. Clinical data were analyzed retrospectively. Results:The average age was 54.5±4.4 years old. The average menopausal duration was 4.5±3.9 years.61%(20/33) of cases were Initial onset postmenopausal endometriosis,39%(13/33) of cases were relapse postmenopausal endometriosis. Chief complaint included 21 cases of pelvic mass,9 cases of postmenopausal vaginal bleeding,7 cases of Abdominal discomfort and one abnormal discharge, one increased tumor markers. Stages of rAFS were 1 case of stage II,14 cases of stage Ⅲ,18 cases of stage IV. The final pathologic findings of 33 cases were endometriosis with uterine fibroids in 15 cases, endometrial polyps in 10, ovarian tumor in 8 cases, other unterine lesions in 4 cases.15 patients had followed up for more than 1 years without evidence of recurrence. Conclusions:Because its clinical picture was atypical, it was often misdiagnosed. The risk of cancer is higher in postmenopausal endometriosis. It is necessary to have aggressive treatment for Initial onset postmenopausal endometriosis by surgery.
