Objective:The purposes of this study were to study the influence of temporary drain clamping at different time points on blood loss and knee function after primary unilateral total knee arthroplasty and to investigate the timing of temporary drain clamping. Methods:This study is a prospective randomized controlled trail. The patients who undergoing primary unilateral total knee arthroplasty during June 2014 to December 2015 in the orthopaedics department of the Affiliated Hospital of Putian University were selected and randomized into four groups:nonclamping drainage,2h clamping drainage,4h clamping drainage and 6h clamping drainage. The total blood loss, the first 24h drainage, haemoglobin loss and transfusion rate were recorded and analyzed.Lower limb swelling and postoperative 3d,6d range of motion(ROM) of knee were examined postoperatively. The degree of pain was scored by VAS after 1,3 and 6d of operation.Ecehymosis, complications and HSS knee score after 2weeks and 3months of operation were taken. Results:Eighty patients (20 per group) were inclued;nine male and seventy-one female.Th... |
