ObjectiveTo explore the effect of Chinese yam gruel in treatment of type 2 diabetes, analyze and evaluate its effect on serum level of superoxide dismutase(SOD), Glutatione peroxidase(GSH-Px), Malondial dehyde(MDA), AOR(SOD/MDA), Fast blood glucose(FPG) and 2 hours postprandial blood glucose(2hPG). Provide theoretical and experimental basis for Chinese yam gruel further promotion and application.MethodsAccording to the diagnosis and reception criterion,90 patients of type 2 diabetes (T2DM) were recruited in Diabetes club.The research object were randomly divided into two groups, 45 cases in each group. The control group were received health education and conventional treatment. While those patients in the test group receive Chinese yam gruel for 12 weeks. T-SOD, GSH-Px, AOR, FPG and 2hPG were monitored before and 8 weeks and 12 weeks after the test. During the experiment off /removed 12 cases, the final total of 78 patients completed the study,42 cases in which the test group and the control group of 36 patients. Application SPSS18.0 statistical analysis of experimental data.Results1. Comparison of baseline data and observation index before trialThere were no significant difference in gender, age. marital status, educational,et al, between the two groups before the trial (P>0.05). And there were no significant difference in serum level of SOD, GSH-Px, MDA, AOR, FPG and 2hPG(P>0.05). The result of ITT analysis and PP analysis was basically compatible with each other. It showed that the two groups were comparable.2. Changes in Oxidative stress2.1 Changes in serum level of T-SOD8 weeks after the intervention, T-SOD smoothly elevated in the test group(P<0.05). after 12 weeks was more statistically significant(P<0.01), While the control group T-SOD difference before and after the test showed no statistically significant(P>0.05). After 8 weeks and 12 weeks, the test group T-SOD was higher than the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The result of PP analysis and ITT analysis was basically consistent with each other.2.2 Changes in serum level of GSH-Px8 weeks,12 weeks after the intervention, GSH-Px smoothly elevated in the test group(P<0.01), While the control group GSH-Px difference before and after the test showed no statistically significant(P>0.05). After 8 weeks and 12 weeks, compared with the control group, GSH-Px in the test group was higher than that in the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.01).The result of PP analysis and ITT analysis was basically consistent with each other.2.3 Changes in serum level of MDAPP analysis showed that,8 weeks after the intervention, MDA had lower than before(P <0.05), but the ITT analysis showed no statistically significant(P>0.05),12 weeks after the intervention showed statistically significant(P<0.05),and PP analysis results are consistent. While the control group MDA difference before and after the test showed no statistically significant(P>0.05). After 8 weeks and 12 weeks, compared with the control group, the difference in MDA between the two groups were no statistically significant(P>0.05).The result of PP analysis and ITT analysis was basically consistent with each other.2.4 Changes in serum level of AOR8 weeks,12 weeks after the intervention, AOR smoothly elevated in the test group(P<0.01), While the control group AOR difference before and after the test showed no statistically significant(P>0.05), The result of ITT analysis and PP analysis was basically consistent with each other. PP analysis showed that, compared with the control group, the difference in AOR between the two groups were statistically significant(P>0.05). But ITT showed that, compared with the control group, the difference in AOR between the two groups were no statistically significant(P>0.05). Between the two groups after 12 weeks after the intervention showed statistically significant (P<0.05),The result of PP analysis and ITT analysis was basically consistent with each other.3. Changes in blood glucose3.1 Changes in FPG8 weeks,12 weeks after the intervention, FPG showed statistically significant (P<0.01). 8 weeks,12 weeks after the intervention,the control group of FPG showed statistically significant(P<0.05). The result of ITT analysis and PP analysis was basically consistent with each other. After 8 weeks,compared with the control group.FPG smoothly elevated in the test group(P<0.05), But PP analysis showed no statistically significant(P>0.05).After 12 weeks was more statistically significant(P<0.01).The result of PP analysis and ITT analysis was basically consistent with each other.3.2 Changes in serum level of 2hPG8 weeks,12 weeks after the intervention,2hPG showed statistically significant (P< 0.01). 8 weeks,12 weeks after the intervention,the control group of 2hPG showed statistically significant(P<0.01). The result of ITT analysis and PP analysis was basically consistent with each other. After 8 weeks, compared with the control group,2hPG showed no statistically significant(P>0.05). After 12 weeks was more statistically significant(P<0.05).The result of PP analysis and ITT analysis was basically consistent with each other.ConclusionsThrough the discussion of the results of this study, in this study, Chinese yam gruel can(1) improve T-SOD, GSH-Px in patients with type 2 diabetes;(2)improve the oxidation ratio in patients with type 2 diabetes (AOR) in patients with type 2 diabetes;(3)lower the FPG and 2hPG in patients with type 2 diabetes, adjust the blood glucose of type 2 diabetes.
