Treatment Of Polycystic Ovary Syndrome Sex Hormone Level

ObjectiveThe purpose of this study is to treat patients with PCOS by fire needle therapy, To make an objective evaluation of the "fire needle therapy" is depended on observing the changes in sex hormone levels that patient before and after therapy treatment, This study provide theoretical evidence to treat PCOS with fewer side effects and good treatment effect in the prevention of long-term complications, Providing a safe, reliable and innovative acupuncture treatment mode on the research of PCOS.Methods60 patients with PCOS were randomly divided into treatment group and control group, Treatment group gave fire needle therapy; Control group treated with traditional acupuncture treatment, The next day for 1 time, each time for 30 minutes,10 times for a course of treatment. Respectively before and after treatment were measured sex hormone levels(Follicle stimulating hormone FSH and Luteinizing hormone LH and Testosterone T), also checked sex hormone levels on the third day of the menstrual cycle, all the data would be analyzed by the TCM symptom scale. After 3 courses of treatment, two groups were compared with sex hormone levels and the TCM symptom scale. Finally, all the data were compared and analyzed statistically.Result1. Patients’ conditions before treatment show statically identical by t-test (P>0.05). Thirty patients in the fire needle therapy group got 2 cure,24 improved and 4 with no effect after 3 courses of treatment, total effective rate is 86.7%;thirty patients in the traditional acupuncture treatment got 0 cure,15 with improved and 15 with no effect after 3 courses of treatment, total effective rate is 50%. Compared two group with rank test, P<0.05,there is significant difference between two groups.2. The TCM symptom scale before treatment of both the fire needle therapy group and the traditional acupuncture treatment show statically identical by t-test (P>0.05), data between two groups show significant difference after 3 courses of treatment by t-test (P<0.05);both groups show significant difference before and after treatment by t-test(P<0.05).3.The LH before treatment of both the fire needle therapy group and the traditional acupuncture treatment show statically identical by t-test (P> 0.05), data between two groups show significant difference after 3 courses of treatment by t-test(P<0.05); both groups show significant difference before and after treatment by t-test(P<0.05).The FSH before treatment of both the fire needle therapy group and the traditional acupuncture treatment show statically identical by t-test (P> 0.05), data between two groups show no significant difference after 3 courses of treatment by t-test(P>0.05), the fire needle therapy group show significant difference before and after treatment by rank test (P<0.05);the traditional acupuncture treatment show significant difference before and after treatment by t-test (P<0.05);The LH/FSH before treatment of both the fire needle therapy group and the traditional acupuncture treatment show statically identical by t-test (P> 0.05), data between two groups show significant difference after 3 courses of treatment by t-test (P<0.05), the fire needle therapy group show significant difference before and after treatment by t-test (P<0.05), the traditional acupuncture treatment show significant difference before and after treatment by rank test (P<0.05).The T before treatment of both the fire needle therapy group and the traditional acupuncture treatment show statically identical by t-test (P> 0.05), data between two groups show significant difference after 3 courses of treatment by t-test (P<0.05), the fire needle therapy group show significant difference before and after treatment by rank test(P<0.05);the traditional acupuncture treatment show significant difference before and after treatment by rank test(P<0.05).ConclusionCompared with the traditional acupuncture, Fire needle therapy in the treatment of PCOS to improve sex hormones have more advantages.
