The Clinical Observation On The Treatment Of Scalp Bacterial Folliculitis Combined With WuWeiXiaoDuYin And Fusidic Acid Cream

Objectives:The purpose is to evaluate the clinical efficacy and safety of the treatment of Scalp bacterial folliculitis by Wu Wei Xiao Du Yin combined with Fusidic Acid CreamMethods:60 patients with Scalp bacterial folliculitis were randomly divided into 2 groups:the treatment group and the control group.Treatment group was treated by Wu Wei Xiao Du Yin combined with Fusidic Acid Cream.The control group was only treated by Fusidic Acid Cream. We assessed the clinical efficacy after 7 days and 14 days. The changes in the patients’ skin lesions and itching were observed and the extent and quality of life scores table were filled by the patients.Results:(1) After 7 days,the totol effective rate of the treatment group was 83.3%, and the total effective rate of the control group was 70.0%. The two groups had no significant difference in the efificiency(P>0.05);The before and after treatment of itching integral difference of extent of the treatment group was 2.83±1.18.The extent of before and after treatment of itching integral difference of the control group was 2.20±1.00.Compare the two groups, the difference between them was statistically significant (P<0.05).(2)After 14 days,the totol effective rate of the treatment group was 96.7%, and the total effective rate of the control group was 80.0%.Compare the two groups, the difference between them was statistically significant (P<0.05);The before and after treatment of itching integral difference of extent of the treatment group was6.63±1.49.The extent of before and after treatment of itching integral difference of the control group was4.23±0.97.Compare the two groups, the difference between them was statistically significant (P<0.05).The treatment group for the Difference between pre and post DLQI score was 12.63±2.37.The control group for the difference between pre and post DLQI score was 7.50±1.70.Compared the two groups, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).(3)Results among the 12 cured patients from treatment group with followed up period of one month, no case recrudescenced. But results among the 8 cured patients from control group,3 cases recrudescenced.The difference between the treatment group and the control group was statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion:(1) The treatment by Wu Wei Xiao Du Yin combined with Fusidic Acid Cream can control inflammation, relieve pain、and improve patients’ quality of life easier than the treatment by Fusidic Acid Cream. (2) Wu Wei Xiao Du Yin can reduce the incidence rate of folliculitis’ recrudescence. (3) There was no significant difference between the two groups in the treatment of one week, which may be related to the slow effect of the traditional Chinese medicine.
