Observation Of Clinical Therapeutic Effect Of Modified Xiaofengsan Decoction Combined With NB-UVB For The Wind-Heat Syndrome Type Of Pityriasis Rosea

Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy and safety of the of modified Xiaofengsan decoction combined with NB-UVB (narrow-band UVB) for the wind-heat syndrome type of pityriasis rosea.Methods:In the dermatological department of Jiangsu Province Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from April to December 2015,40 cases of the wind-heat syndrome type of pityriasis rosea were treated, randomly divided into treatment group and control group with 20 cases in each group. The treatment group took modified Xiaofengsan decoction orally, the control group took oral Huatengzi granules, two groups received NB-UVB treatment and applied with Huangqin factice. All the patients returned visit every week for two weeks. Assess the symptoms and signs of patients wih the PRSS score table, and record the occurrence of adverse reaction.Patients were monitored by weekly telephone follow-up until the rash subsided.Results:Two ways of treatments were effective. After 1 week and 2 weeks of treatment, the PRSS scores of treanment group were lower than the control group, the curative effect index of treanment group was higher than the control group, the difference was significant (P< 0.05). After a course of treatment, the total effective rate of treanment group was 95%, the control group was 65%(P< 0.05). Before and after treatment, the treatment group is superior to the control group for erythema, infiltration, scales and itch (P< 0.05), but there is no significant difference in reduce of the number of skin rash (P> 0.05). The treatment group costed 21.45±3.93 days until the rash subsided, control group costed 26.90±6.39 days, the difference was statistically significant (P< 0.05). During the treatment and follow-up period,two groups had no obvious adverse reaction, the incidence rate was 0.Conclusion:Modified Xiaofengsan decoction combined with NB-UVB is effective and safety for the wind-heat syndrome type of pityriasis rosea.there is no obvious adverse response occurred.And compared with Huatengzi granules group, the curative effect of modified xiaofengsan decoction group is better.
