Objective:To discuss and evaluate the intervention effect of TCM treatment according to syndrome differentiation on patients of breast cancer accompanied with depression.Methods:Self-contrast method was applied in this study.40 patients of breast cancer accompanied with depression were selected accordiong to diagnosis standards by clinical screening. Patients are divided into 2 groups accordiong to TCM syndrome differentiation standards:20 patients of Qi-stagnation and phlegm syndrome (Group A),20 patients of heart and spleen deficiency syndrome (Group B). Patients of Group A are treated with soothing liver and relieving depression, regulating Qi and resolving phlegm (modified Xiaoyao Powder). Patients of Group B are treated with replenishing Qi and nourishing blood, tranquilizing the heart and calming mind (modified Guipi Decoction). The HAMD score, PHQ-9 point, KPS score, TCM syndromes, serum tumor maker and the quality of life are recorded before treatment and after 4 therapeutic courses respectively.1 therapeutic course is 2 weeks and total observationis 4 courses.Results: ①AMD scores:After treatment, the total effective rate of group A is 80%, before and after treatmeng by t test, HAMD scores of group A, P<0.05; the total effective rate of group B is 90%before and after treatment by t test, HAMD scores of group B, P<0.05, the results of two groups have statistical significance;②PHQ-9 points:After treatment, before and after treatment by t test, PHQ-9 points of group A, P<0.05; before and after treatment by t test, PHQ-9 points of group B, P<0.05, the results of two groups have statistical significance;③KPS scores:After treatment, the period of group A is 60%, before and after treatment by Wilcoxon test, KPS scores of group A, P<0.05; the period of group B is 65%, before and after treatment by Wilcoxon test, KPS scores of group B P<0.05, the results of two groups have statistical significance;④TCM syndromes:After treatment, before and after treatment by Wilcoxon test, the symptoms of group A in depression, tightness in chest, chest bilge full, belching, pharynx, diagnosis, P<0.05; before and after treatment by Wilcoxon test, the symptoms of group B in trance, uneasy, exhausted heart palpitation, dizziness, fatigue stool, little stomach bilge, P< 0.05, the results of two groups have statistical significance;⑤the quality of life:After treatment, before and after treatment by Wilcoxon test, the quality of life of group A, P<0.05; before and after treatment by Wilcoxon test, the quality of life of group B, P<0.05, the results of two groups have statistical significance;⑥Tumor maker:After treatment, before and after treatment by Wilcoxon test, A group of CEA, CA125, CA153, P>0.05; before and after treatment by Wilcoxon test, B group of CEA, CA125, CA153, P>0.05, the results of two groups show no obvious statistical significance. Conclusion:TCM treatment according to syndrome differentiation has better intervention effect on patients of breast cancer on the sides of depression severity, clinical manifestation, the quality of life and body constitution. This study shows no intervention effect of TCM medicine in changing serum tumor makers.
