Objective The purpose of the current study was based on track surgery fast (FTS) theory, to establish the perioperative nursing interventions for patients with hepatic bile duct stones, and to investigate the effects of hunger and thirst before operation, the first time of exhaust and defecation after operation, the first time of oral feeding and first time of out-of-bed activity after operation, the postoperative comfort, pain, hospital stay and cost, which may provide clinical evidence to accelerate the rehabilitation of patients with hepatic calculus who underwent hepatic resection. Methods 35 patients with hepatic calculus who underwent hepatic resection betwee n Jan 2012 and Dec 2013 were randomized to control group,35 patients with hepa tic calculus who underwent hepatic resection between Jan 2014 and Dec 2015 were randomized to experimental group. All patients were treated with the same therapy. The control group patients were given routine care, and experimental group patient s were given fast track surgery nursing. Observe and record the two groups of pati ents with preoperative thirst and hunger, the first postoperative exhaust and defecati on time, the first out of bed activity time, the first time of oral feeding, postoperat ive comfort,postoperat-ive pain, postoperative hospital stay and total hospital costs. Results No patient in the two groups quitted this research, there were no statistically significant in terms of age, gender, education, occupation, and mode of payment of medical expenses. Compared with the control group, patients in the experimental group felt significantly less thirsty and hungry, recover postoperative gastrointestinal function faster and postoperatively got out of bed for the first time earlier.(p<0.01); The postoperative first oral feeding time of experimental group were earlier than that in control group(p<0.01); The comfort level of the intervention group was significantly higher than that of the control group in 4 days after operation and 6 days after operation. The postoperative pain score of the intervention group was significantly lower than the control group. The postoperative hospital stay and total hospital costs of experimental group were shorter and less than that in control group(p<0.05).Conclutions The nursing interventions based on FTS theory is safe for hepatic calculus patients who underwent liver resection which can reduce stress response with thirst and hunger, promote postoperative early activity and gastrointestinal function recovery, help patients with postoperative early oral feeding, raise the extent of postoperative comfort, relieve postoperative pain, shorter postoperative hospitalization time, reduce medical costs, and accelerate the rehabilitation process.
