Fast-track surgery(FTS) refers to a series of effective measures, approved by evidence-based medicine, used in perioperative period. It aims to speed up recovery after operation and shorten the hospitalisation period[1]. It is the best result achieved under multi-science application and a new concept utilised the latest research proof from surgery, anaesthesia and nursing. And it is clinical practice process. Nursing as a part of fast track surgery, through to patients perioperative period. Fast track nursing origin in Denmark “Unit of Perioperative Nursing”, it is from the implementation of surgical stress reduction, effective analgesia, early mobilisation and rapid return to normal eating, in order to improve the patients quality of surgical care [2]. FTS application has been recognised by specialists in colorectal, however, there has not been any common practice which can be referred to in nursing. Therefore, this research aims to popularise the FTS common practice in perioperative period of colon cancer surgery and provide a nursing model which can be referred to in clinical practice. Objective:(1)Explore the effectiveness and practicality of the application of fast-track surgery nursing model on patients undergoing laparoscopic radical resection of colon cancer during perioperative period.(2)Explore the satisfaction of patients undergoing laparoscopic radical resection of colon cancer for analgesia. Methods:The study subjects were chosen from March 2015 to August 2015 in the Stomach and Colorectal Department in the First Hospital Of Jilin University. There were 97 patients undergoing laparoscopic radical resection of colon cancer selected. According the inclusive and exclusive standards, they were randomly separated into 2 groups, observation group with 47 patients and comparison group with 50 patients. The information collected mostly includes gender, age, cancer location, and pathological stage. Observation index include the time of first movement out of bed, the time of breaking wind, the time of taking liquid food, pain level after operation, satisfactory for analgesia, hospitalisation period, and the total cost of hospitalisation. Results:( 1) There is no material statistical difference in the basic information from patients between the observation and comparison group(P>0.05).(2)The first movement out of bed happened to the observation group patients obviously earlier(35.85 ± 7.08 h vs. 59.76 ± 07.33 h,P<0.01);The first breaking wind and taking food happened much earlier(53.89±8.78 h vs. 71.36±4.76 h,P<0.01);Their hospitalisation period was shorter than observation group(5.38±5.68 d vs. 7.34±0.80 d,P<0.01);and also they had much lower cost(52710.79± 1636.03 元 vs. 61050.08 ±2252.17 元,P<0.01);Their pain level of 6h、12h、24h and 48 h after operation was lower(2.02±0.71 vs. 2.90±0.74、3.06±0.79 vs. 3.72±0.83、2.43±0.85 vs. 4.56±0.86、1.87±0.80 vs. 2.28±0.70,P<0.01);There were no statistical difference between two groups in pain level of 72 h after operation and satisfation with education of controlling analgesic(1.79±0.72 vs. 1.60±0.61;42.57±1.96 vs. 42.10±6.07,P>0.05;and they had a higher satisfation with method for controlling pain than than observation group(44.09±2.47 vs. 43.08±1.71,P<0.05). Conclusion:The FTS nursing is effiective and practical to be applied on patients with colon cancer undergoing laparoscopic radical resection in the perioperative period. Under this model, there is increased satisfaction level from patients and it speeds up recovery after operation.
