Objective Fast-track surgery was first proposed in the 90 s of the century, which focused on a variety of measures guided by evidence-based medicine to reduce surgical stress in perioperative period and postoperative complications,to enhance postoperative rehabilitation and to improve prognosis. Our study mainly aimed to analyze clinical practice of fast-track laparoscopic surgery on enhancing functional recovery following surgery. Methods We chose patients undergoing laparoscopic rectal resection between December 2013 and December 2015 in our hospital, and they were randomly divided into the FTS group and the control group,80 cases each group. The control group was treated with conventional treatment, while the FTS group was treated with fast-track treatment.Parameters of surgery along with postoperative stress response, recovery and incidence of complications were compared between two groups. The SPSS statistical software package was used to process the data, recorded as mean ± standard deviation, and processed using a t-test for two independent samples.Count data was compared using the chi-square test.P < 0.05 was used to indicate a statistically significant difference. Results Operative time, perioperative bleeding and number of lymph node dissection had no statistical significance(P>0.05)between the FTS group and the control group.Postoperative 24 h fasting plasma glucose of the FTS group was lower than the control group.Cortisol,CRP,CD8+T cells of the FTS group were all lower than the control group at preoperative 1h,postoperative 24 h and 3d.IL-6 of the FTS group was also lower than the control group at postoperative 24 h and 3d.And,CD4+T cells of the FTS group was higher than the control group at postoperative 24 h and 3d.Time for resuming diets, exsufflation, defecation, ambulation and hospital stays were all less compared with the control group.Incidence of abdominal distension of the FTS group was less than the control group, and other complications had no significant difference. Results mentioned above all exhibited significant difference(P<0.05).Conclusion Clinical application of fast-track surgery in perioperative period of laparoscopic rectal cancer resection could promote postoperative rehabilitation, reduce complications and make the best use of the limited medical resources.
