The Study Of Correlation About The TCM Constitutions,the TCM Syndromes And The Severity Of Acne

ObjectiveThis paper aims to explore the affect factors of acne severity, and the correlation about the constitution types of Chinese medicine, the syndromes types of Chinese medicine and the severity of acne, so as to provide basis for adjusting pathological constitution to treat and prevent acne.Methods391 patients met the inclusion criteria were enrolled between their visiting time at 1,2015 and 1,2016 at the First Affiliated Hosptital of Guangzhou University of Traditional Chinese Medicine clinics. Firstly, fill the name, the gender, the age of the informant. Secondly, According to acne TCM syndromes standard 391 patients were judged the syndrome types. Thirdly, put down the records of lesion of skin, then the Global acne garding System (GAGS) used to evaluate the severity of acne. Then through the Chinese Medicine Constitution Questionnaire,391 patients were judged the constitution types based on the "TCM constitution classification criteria" Finally.statistical analysis was performed by using SPSS 17.0 package, investigating the distribution characteristic of the TCM constitution types and the TCM syndromes types,and analazing the correlation of gender, age, the TCM constitution types, the TCM syndromes types and the severity of acne,P<0.05 believed that the results were statistically significant.ResultsThat 398 questionnaires were recovered in the investigation in which 391 questionnaires were available for statistical analysis. The results are as follows.That 391 patients who see a doctor for acne is female more than male in the survey, and their age are most among 19 to 24 years old.391 patients judged by the TCM syndromes standard have 50.6% were diagnosed as wet-heat inside and stagnation. The top three TCM constitutions of 391 patients are wet-heat type, yin-deficiency type, yang-deficiency type, and the qi-depression type whose percentage is more than 10% comes after. And the most patients have the moderate and sever acne.Through the chi-square test founding that gender has correlation with the severity of acne, and the Cramer’V coefficient is 0.166(P<0.05).Through the chi-square test founding that age has correlation with the severity of acne, and the Cramer’V coefficient is 0.136(P<0.05).Through the chi-square test founding that the TCM constitution types has correlation with the TCM syndromes of acne patients, and the Cramer’V coefficient is 0.256(P<0.05).Through the chi-square test founding that the TCM constitution types has correlation with the severity of acne, and the Cramer’V coefficient is 0.185 (P<0.05).Through the chi-square test founding that the TCM syndromes has correlation with the severity of acne, and the Cramer’V coefficient is 0.186(P<0.05).The results of binary logistic regression analysis showed that the gender, the age, the TCM constitution, the TCM syndromes are have a significant effect on the severity of acne(P<0.05), which are positively correlated. Affected by gender, male is likely form into severe acne. That affected by age the older the heavier of acne’s severity. Affected by the TCM constitution, that refering to the gentleness type, the wet-heat type, blood-stasis type, qi-depression type and special diathesis type are inclined to bring about severe acne. In the 3 TCM syndromes, that refering to the wind-heat in lung, the phlegm-wet stagnation is easily lead to severe acne.ConclusionThat there are remarkable difference in gender affects the severity of acne. Most male-patient and female-patient are both have moderate acne, while female-patient have a high proportion of mild acne than male-patient, and male-patient are mostly have the moderate acne and the severe acne.The gender has correlation with the severity of acne.The age has correlation with the severity of acne.The TCM constitution types has correlation with the TCM syndromes of acne patients.The TCM constitution types has correlation with the severity of acne.The TCM syndromes has correlation with the severity of acne.That the severity of acne is closely correlated with the gender, the age, the TCM constitution, the TCM syndromes, which are positively correlated.
