Clinical Study On The Therapy Of Fire Acupuncture Treating Acute Herpes Zoster

ObjectiveObservation of fire acupuncture treatment of herpes zoster was detected in the acute phase of pain and with the change of time, for the scientific evaluation of fire acupuncture lesion recovery, the effect of analgesia, to explore the clinical curative effect of fire acupuncture treatment of herpes zoster and provide clinical basis for its efficacy.MethodsThe prospective randomized controlled study chose 60 cases from the first affiliated hospital of the Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine dermatology outpatient service which were in consistent with acute herpes zoster of Chinese and western medicine diagnosis, and agreed to join in the experiments. The patients were randomly divided into two groups, with 30 cases in the treatment group and 30 cases in the control group. The treatment was given fire acupuncture therapy and combined the western medication.which included Aciclovir Sodium, Indometacin Sustained Release Tablets and Mecobalamin Tablets. The control group was given Aciclovir Sodium, Indometacin Sustained Release Tablets and Mecobalamin Tablets. During the text, blister-stop time, scab over time, scab off time, pain intensity, ease the time and pain duration were recored. The last, the incidence of the postherpetic neuralgia was observed in the follow-up visits in the painful 28th testing days.Results1. Overall evaluation of erythra:Between the treatment group and control group, the blister-stop time(p>0.05), there was no statistically significant difference;Scab over time(p<0.05), the difference was statistically significant;Scab off time(p<0.05), the difference was statistically significant, the treatment group is better than the control group. Patients older than 50, scab over time(p<0.05), the difference was statistically significant;Scab off time(p<0.05), the difference was statistically significant, so that in patients with age older than 50 the curative effect of fire needle to promote skin recovery more greatly.2. Changing of pain intensity, before and after the treatment group and the control group(p<0.05), the difference was statistically significant. VAS evaluation of group comparison:between the two groups after treatment (p< 0.05, with significant difference;The two groups before and after treatment VAS score difference between groups (p< 0.05), the difference was statistically significant, the treatment group is better than the control group.3. The pain relief time between treatment group and control group overall comparison:(p<0.05), statistically significant, the treatment group is better than the control group;Patients older than 50, the pain relief time between treatment group and control group(p<0.05), statistically significant difference, the treatment group is better than the control group.4. Between treatment group and control group in the duration of pain overall comparison(p< 0.05), statistically significant, the treatment group is better than the control group;Older than 50 patients in treatment group than the control group to alleviate the pain, but no obvious advantage to shorten the duration of pain.5.The incidence of postherpetic neuralgia:on the 28th day, the incidences of PHN between the two groups were statistically significant(p<0.05), the treatment group is better than the control group.ConclusionSkin:fire needle is not multiply blister stop of the key factors, but in the scab over time, scab off time, the treatment group is better than the control group and in patients with age older than 50 the curative effect of fire needle to promote skin recovery more greatly. Improvements in pain intensity:the treatment group and control group for both acute herpes zoster pain relief, but the treatment group of patients with lower than the control group have an advantage in pain intensity. Pain relief time:treatment to relieve pain, shorten the pain time, but for the patients older than 50, shorten the duration of pain of fire needle therapy compared with western medicine treatment has no obvious advantage. On the PHN:the treatment group is better than that of control group, can reduce the incidence of PHN.
