Compiling Questionnaire On The Emotional Management Ability Of Nursing Undergraduates And Investigating It

Objective: This study is based on the emotional management of undergraduate nursing students as the breakthrough point, and strive to work out a questionnaire for the emotional management ability of college nursing students, and to explore the current situation, characteristics, influencing factors and the relationship between them and the coping style,in order to provide empirical evidence for the emotional management of undergraduate nursing students, and to provide theoretical basis for the cultivation of high quality nursing staff with high emotional management ability.Methods: Based on literature analysis, interview and open-ended questionnaire, the initial questionnaire of emotion management ability of nursing undergraduates is made,and the pre investigation of nursing undergraduates in a medical college is carried out.After project analysis and exploratory factor analysis, 21 items and four dimensions are retained. The same sampling method is used to validate the confirmatory factor analysis and to test the reliability and validity of the questionnaire, and to use the emotional intelligence scale(EIS)as the criterion. The questionnaire of emotion management ability and Trait Coping Style Questionnaire(TCSQ) are used to survey1253 nursing students in three medical colleges, using T test, analysis of variance,correlation analysis and multiple linear regression analysis of the current situation,characteristics, influencing factors and the relationship between emotional management and coping style.Results: 1.Through project analysis and exploratory factor analysis, 21 items and four dimensions are retained, namely: emotional cognitive ability, emotional regulation ability, emotional expression ability and emotional promoting ability,and the cumulative variance is 49.235%.2.(1)Reliability: The homogeneity reliability of the total questionnaire is 0.874, the homogeneity reliability of each dimension is between the 0.694 and 0.782. The split half reliability of the total questionnaire is 0.802, the split half reliability of each dimension is between the 0.564 and 0.722.(2)Validity:(1)Literature analysis, interviews and open questionnaires and the procedures to consult with experts to ensure the content validity of the questionnaire.The correlation coefficient between total questionnaire and each dimension is between 0.652 and 0.746, and the correlation coefficient between each dimension is 0.363 and 0.548; The results of confirmatory factor analysis : χ2/df is3.535, RMSEA is 0.069, the value of GFI、AGFI、IFI、CFI、NFI are more than 0.8;This shows that the questionnaire has a good construct validity.3.(1)The significant difference in the grade of the total questionnaire and the four dimensions are that the first grade is the highest, and the fourth is the lowest.(2)The emotional expression ability of the only child is significantly higher than that of the non only child.(3)Student leaders in the total questionnaire and the four dimensions are significantly higher than ordinary students.(4)The significant difference in the academic record of the total questionnaire and Emotional promoting ability are that the students with good grades are the best, and the second is the general students. The students with poor performance are the lowest.(5)Monthly living expenses of more than 1000 yuan of students’ emotional cognitive ability is significantly higher than the students of 500~1000 yuan,Monthly living expenses in the 500 to 1000 yuan of students’ emotional cognitive ability is significantly higher than the monthly living expenses of 500 yuan or less.4.The correlation coefficient between the Nursing undergraduates emotional management ability and the positive coping style of nursing undergraduates is 0.356(p﹤ 0.01),the correlation coefficient between the Nursing undergraduates emotion management ability and the positive coping style of nursing undergraduates is﹣0.177(p﹤0.01).5.Taking the undergraduate nursing students emotional management questionnaire as dependent variable, using the coping style, grade as independent variables for multiple linear regression, entered the regression equation factors are coping style, grades, scores,whether the one-child, whether the student cadres and monthly living expenses,F is47.992(p﹤0.01).Conclusion: 1.Undergraduate nursing students emotional management consists of four dimensions,namely: emotional cognitive ability, emotional regulation ability, emotional expression ability and emotional promoting ability.2.The questionnaire reliability and validity of the questionnaire of nursing undergraduate students is good, which accords with the requirements of psychological measurement, and can be used as a measuring tool for the emotion management ability of nursing undergraduates.3.The emotional management ability of nursing students in grade, learning achievement,the monthly living expenses, whether student cadres and whether the only child and other demographic characteristics, there are significant differences.4.The emotional management ability of nursing undergraduates is positively correlated with the positive coping style, but negatively correlated with the negative coping style.5.The emotional management ability of nursing undergraduates is influenced by the way of coping style, grades, grades, whether the only child, whether student cadres and the monthly living expenses.
