Premature retinopathy(ROP) is retinal blood vessels in the process of development, because the environment of oxygen therapy, systemic inflammation, vascular growth factors, genetic factors, such as retinal vascular dysplasia, without retinal vascular area with retinal blood vessel formation and proliferation, thus caused by pathological changes, light person vision loss, the person that weigh cause retinal detachment and blindness. It is the first element of childhood blindness in developing and developed countries. Its prevention and screening system is gradually perfect. For their treatment, mainly surgery, with the development of medical career with each passing day, medical treatment also have great progress, including inhibition of intravascular the drug treatment for the new direction of growth factors, has been used in clinical treatment.Children with varying degrees of retinopathy lesions, different method of treatment, all kinds of the occurrence of complication rate after treatment are also different. According to different patients, combined with its actual situation, specific issue concrete analysis, so as to find out more conducive to the patient’s treatment plan. The latest research indicates that: different people of different skin color, its prevalence is different; And suppress hyperplasia of new blood vessels at the genetic and molecular level, slows the pathological vascular proliferation, can cure neonatal retina pathological change from the source. In this paper, the present known of the causes of neonatal retinopathy, screening system, nursing, at various stages of treatment, after treatment and the certificate as well as new treatments and research progress were reviewed.
