Research Background:With the accelerating pace of society, people are facing an increasingly growing problems and pressures. People in almost all walks of life complain about their huge pressure, which has brought them various physical illnesses and mental health problems. In the special field of civil aviation, pilots, flight attendants and ground crews suffer more pressures due to various impact inflicted by themselves, the industry and the outside world, which leads to a rising accident proportions caused by employees’ health problems.Research Objective:By investigating employees’ physical condition of one airline company and discovering their existing physical illnesses health and analyzing the formation and influencing factors of diseases and their prognosis of disease trend, the author provided a basis for them to develop feasible intervention measures for the benefit of the employees’ physical health. At the same time, the evaluation of airline employees’ psychological health level can be conducive to carrying out targeted psychological counseling work in order to guarantee company employee’s psychological health, thus enabling them to cope with work stress easily. The thesis evaluates airline employees’ physical health from the perspective of physiology and psychology, which lays the foundation for the protection of civil aviation enterprise staffs physical and mental health.Research Methods:The author collected the health examination data of one airline company from 2009 to 2013 with multiple cross sectional survey of epidemiology method and arranges its physical examination data, then analyzed all kinds of common diseases of its staff to know the illnesses of its staff. What is more, the author makes a vertical comparison of the changes of the main physical index to analyze its variation trend. In the meanwhile, the author adopted Self-rating Anxiety Scale (SAS) and Self-Rating Depression Scale (SDS) in physical examination of 2013 to evaluate company employee’s psychological health. The thesis employs statistical analysis software such as the SPSS19.0 and SAS9.1 to do data processing, with rates comparison testified by Chi-square test. if there exists difference between different age and different year, further trend test, t-test and variance analysis will be conducted. The difference was statistically significant under(P<0.05).Findings:1. As for the distribution of the common disease of the respondents, it turned out that many pilots in the airline company suffer from diseases including high triglyceride hyperlipidemia, fatty liver, poor sight, presbyopia, abnormal hearing, ametropia, abnormal electrocardiogram (ECG); its cabin crews suffer from refractive errors, poor sight and abnormal ECG; and its ground crew suffer from poor sight, fatty liver, high triglyceride blood, ECG abnormalities, obesity, high blood pressure, gallbladder polyps disease. Various diseases as a whole show a rising tendency together with age.2.The results of 2013 annual data analysis shows that it is of statistical significance(P<0.05) to compare the morbidity rate difference of the diseases of flight crews(pilot and flight attendant) with different ages, including obesity, hypertension, fatty liver, high triglyceride hyperlipidemia and ECG abnormality. The same is true for the morbidity rate difference of ground crews with different ages, including diseases such as hypertension, fatty liver, high triglyceride hyperlipidemia and poor sight (P<0.05). It is also of statistical significance(P<0.05) for flight crews and ground crews with the same age to have morbidity rate difference in diseases such as obesity, fatty liver and abnormal ECG and poor sight.3. The SAS and SDA volume table of airline employees suggest that the airline employee mental health conditions were generally good and their anxiety and depression symptoms occurrence rates are relatively low (the raw scores of SAS and SDS are lower than the national normal). Pilots with different characteristics have high raw scores in age, marital status, level of technology, aviation service and flight duration, the difference of which is statistically significant (P<0.05). The marital status difference of SAS and SDS in cabin crews with different characteristics is statistically significant. And their high raw scores of SDS in age,, level of technology, aviation service and flight duration is also statistically significant (P<0.05). The marital status difference of SAS and SDS in ground crews with different characteristics is statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusions and suggestions:Judging from the physical examination data, the overall health level of the airline employee is decreasing over the past five years, while the abnormal index of annual staff physical examination detection rate is increasing gradually along with the growth of the age, which is closely related to unhealthy lifestyle and work environment and other factors. Judging from the psychological scale results, the current airline employees’ mental health is generally good, reflecting the airline employees have a better psychological quality compared with other practitioners. Under this premise, in order to better protect the physical and mental health of airline employees, the author suggests that we can start from the following three aspects to establish health intervention measures:1.Starting from the government, it is necessary for them to improve the relevant legal system to make the law a solid backing to guarantee staffs’physical and mental health.2. Starting from airline companies, it is necessary for them to establish risk assessment mechanism, formulate security plans in a classified way and strengthen health management, etc., so as to effectively improve the health level of the company’s employees,3.Starting from the individual level, the airline staffs still need to strengthen the study of health care knowledge, learn to relax and decompression in order to ensure safe production and efficient work.
