ObjectsTo investigate the cancer related fatigue, social support and quality of life in patients with nasopharyngeal carcinoma radiotherapy. To explore the relationship among the cancer related fatigue, social support and quality of life in patients with nasopharyngeal carcinoma radiotherapy, and to analyze the influencing factors of the cancer related fatigue of patients with nasopharyngeal carcinoma radiotherapy. Then to giving theoretical reference for staff to seak intervention measures to reduce the cancer related fatigue and improve their quality of life in patients with nasopharyngeal carcinoma radiotherapy. MethodsUsing the cluster sampling method, totally 120 patients with nasopharyngeal carcinoma radiotherapy were recruited from March 2015 to December 2015 in the department of oncology and facial features of a three level of first-class hospital in Changsha. The research instruments included General Information Questionnaire, The Social Support Scale, The Piper Fatigue Investigation Scale, The EORTC QLQ Illuminations 35 V1.0(Chinese version). All data input was used by Software Epidata 3.1 and SPSS18.0 was used for statistical analysis.Statistical methods included descriptive statistical analysis, independent sample t test, single sample t test, variance analysis, Pearson cottelation analysis and multiple linear step regression analysis. 、Results1. In this study, issued a total of 120 questionnaires, 114 valid questionnaires, effective recovery rate was 95%.Included in the radiotherapy of nasopharyngeal carcinoma patients: 64 male patients(56.1%), women in 50 cases, accounting for 43.9%; age 28~60 between the ages of, the 38 year old in 36 cases(31.6%), 39~49 at the age of 59 cases accounted for 51.8%, 50 to 60 years old in 19 cases 16.6%; the severity of mild in 52(45.6%), 49 cases of moderate 43.0%, 13 cases of severe accounted for 11.4%.2. The total score of cancer related fatigue in patients with nasopharyngeal carcinoma radiotherapy(5.35±1.47) was divided into(5.52±1.61) and(5.50±1.46) scores in behavioral and cognitive aspects.3. The total quality of life in patients with nasopharyngeal carcinoma radiotherapy for(54.52±14.73) points. Radiotherapy of nasopharyngeal carcinoma patients with poor quality of life is mainly manifested in feeling and social contact, scores were(15.92±4.65) and(10.48±3.30).4. The total score of social support for patients with nasopharyngeal carcinoma(52.29±10.23) points. In patients with nasopharyngeal carcinoma after radiotherapy of social support utilization rate is low score for(8.39±2.72) divided into.5. In nasopharyngeal carcinoma patients with radiotherapy due to the fatigue of the single factor analysis showed that: gender, educational level, marital status, place of residence, medical insurance, occupation, the severity of, whether or not suitable cancer due to fatigue score difference has statistical significance(P<0.05). The cancer-related fatigue score as the dependent variable, by multiple linear regression analysis showed, occupation, medical insurance, culture degree, gender, severity of disease into the regression model. The regression equation is: ùY =8.067-0.581X1+0.507X2-0.687X5-0.826X6-0.337X7.6. Pearson correlation analysis showed that radiotherapy in patients with objective support points and cancer related fatigue score, sensory scores and scores on cognitive and behavior score was negatively correlated, subjective support points and cognitive scores and behavior scores were negatively correlated, and the difference is statistically significant(P<0.05 or P<0.01); in patients with nasopharyngeal carcinoma after radiotherapy of cancer due to the fatigue score and four dimension scores and quality of life score and seven dimension scores were positively correlated, the difference is statistically significant(P < 0.01); nasopharyngeal carcinoma after radiotherapy in the patients with social support score and life quality score and seven dimension scores were positively correlated, the difference is statistically significant(P < 0.01). Conclusions1. patients with nasopharyngeal carcinoma radiotherapy generally have cancer related fatigue, and most of the fatigue level is in the moderate leve, land their social support is more, their quality of life is poor.2. occupation, medical insurance, education, gender, and the degree of disease are the main influence factors of cancer related fatigue among patients with nasopharyngeal carcinoma radiotherapy.3.cancer related fatigue is negatively correlated with social support, and is positively correlated with quality of life among patients with nasopharyngeal carcinoma radiotherapy.
