The Efficacy Evaluation Of Xiazhi Xunxi Decotion And The Effect On IL-1、IL-6 And TNF-α In Synovial Fluid In Keen Joints Of Mild-to-moderate Osteoarthritis Patients

ObjectiveTo observe the effects of Xiazhi Xunxi Decotion in the mild-to-moderate osteoarthritis Patients through detecting the expression of IL-1, IL-6 and TNF-α in synovial fluid in knee Joints in order to further explore the protection mechanism of the Xiazhi Xunxi Decotion on osteoarthritis and offer some evidences for clinical application.MethodsEstablishment of the control group and observation group from 80 patients with osteoarthritis derived in Xiamen Hospital of T.C.M during Dec 2014 to Dec 2015 that the number of each group was 40 cases along with the proportion of 1:1 which was used random number table. In observation period, the Xiazhi Xunxi Decotion was used in control group while hot water and the Voltaren were added in the observation group. The clinical symptoms and physical signs, the WOMAC pain score, VAS pain score were recorded for evaluation of therapeutic efficacy as well as the levels of IL-1, IL-6 and TNF-α protein content in synovial fluid in knen joints was measured by Elisa in pretherapy and post-treatment. The related data were performed by SPSS 17.0.Results1. Baseline comparison:two groups in gender, age, disease duration, disease segmental aspects by statistical analysis showed no significant difference (P>0.05), not comparable.2. The WOMAC scores in two groups were remarkably different in pretherapy and post-treatment(P<0.05).3. The different of the clinical efficacy:The clinical efficacy of two groups of patients after treatment showed significant differences (P<0.05).4. The expression of IL-1, IL-6 and TNF-α were decreased in two group after treatment; Compared with control group, the value in observation group showed significant difference (P<0.05 or P<0.01).Conclusions1. The Xiazhi Xunxi Decotion could improve mild-to-moderate osteoarthritis by relieving the pain of the patients.2. The Xiazhi Xunxi Decotion alleviated the expression of inflammatory factors which exerted the function of anti-inflammatory so as to delay the degeneration of articular cartilage.
