| Objective:To observe the therapeutic effect of Huoxue Huayu Decoction Combined with extracorporeal shock wave in treating tibia stress fractures by contrasting with simple application of extracorporeal shock wave,and explore the effect of the former in the treatment.Method:50 patients that were diagnosed with tibia stress fractures was collected from Oct 2014 to June 2015 and randomly assigned into control group and test group.All patiets were diagnosed with MRI for Michael Fredicson tibia fatigue fracture MRI grade IV degree.Finally 45 patients were collected into the data for statistics analysis due to the evaluation of the therapeutic effect issue, including 22 cases in control group that treated with simple extracorporeal shock wave:The dose of shock waves were 1000 impulses at 10kV, and use an energy level of 0.4 mJ/mm with the focusing range of 2.4cm2,the frequency of 60/min,one time daily,two times for one circle and the second time started after the first one.6 weeks to avoid weight-bearing, walking with crutches; after 6 weeks of normal walking, but before the fracture healing, prohibited involving lower extremity training and guard. And 23 cases in test group that treated with Huoxue Huayu Decoction Combined with extracorporeal shock wave:Based on the control group, while giving oral Huoxue Huayu Decoction, one dose daily,2 times per day,for 6 weeks. All of the patients every 4 weeks to review the X-ray and CT, the DOMS score, recorded before and after treatment 1,2,3 months of callus score and the fracture line scpre, calf circumference and Treatment-Healing-Time (THT).All the data were analyzed by SPSS 20.0 software.Result:45 cases of clinical patients were included in the statistical analysis. Two groups were compared baseline characteristics (age,weight,body mass index,course of disease, the site of fracture,before of treatment DOMS score,callus score,fracture line score and calf circumference), there was no significant statistical difference (P>0.05).Two groups of patients with an average follow-up time of 6 months, no nonunion, nerve, vascular injury, joint stiffness. Comparing DOMS score of different time, pain in the test group disappeared earlier than the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).THT of the test group significantly shorter than the control group (P<0.05).The two groups of calf circumference has no significant difference before and after treatment (P>0.05). The two groups callus score and fracture line scores were significantly different before and after treatment (P<0.05),the effect of the test group is better than the control group.Conclusion:Huoxue Huayu Decoction combined with extracorporeal shock wave in the treatment of tibia stress fractures has a effection of easing the pain,accelerating fracture healing. |
