Objective:To evalute the effectiveness of Haitongpi decoction combined with extracorporeal shock wave for treatment of humeral epicondylitis, Haitongpi decoction combined with extracorporeal shock wave used in patients with lateral elbow pain relief and to improve the patient’s elbow function and effect, preferably having good clinical effect, high safety, simple, low-cost composite therapy and to promote the clinical provide theoretical basis. Methods:From April 2015 to November 2015 outpatient lateral epicondyle of humerus inflammation of 90 cases, were randomly assigned to three groups:group A (traditional Chinese medicine fumigation group):30 cases, Haitongpi Decoction fumigation,2 times a day, for 2 weeks; group B (shock wave group):30 cases, extracorporeal shock wave therapy, once every 2 days,2 weeks in a ro.w, group C (herbal fumigation and shock wave group):30 cases, Haitongpi Decoction fumigation,2 times a day, extracorporeal shock wave, once every 2 days for 2 weeks. The clinical curative effect, the treatment cycle after the end of the grip, elbow pain assessment and elbow joint function evaluation were observed. Results:At the same time point of comparison, clinical efficacy:A, B and C three groups total effective rates were 82.14%,79.31% and 89.29%, there were significant statistical differences between the three groups (P< 0.05). Grip strength was measured:A, B, C three groups after treatment grip strength was greater than that of before treatment grip strength (P < 0.05), and in group A than that in group B (P< 0.05), group C was better than group A and group B (P< 0.05). SF McGill scale score:after treatment, the amount of three groups of patients with SF McGill score were significantly lower compared with before treatment (P< 0.05) and score of group A was lower than group B (P< 0.05), total score in group C was significantly lower than that of the group A and group B (P< 0.05). Elbow function rating: after treatment, the three groups of patients with elbow function rating scale score were compared with those before treatment significantly increased (P< 0.05), and total score of group A was higher than that of group B and C group, total score higher than group A and group B, but the difference was not statistically significant (P> 0.05).Conclusion:Herb fumigation and steaming therapy group, shock wave group and traditional Chinese medicine fumigation combined with shock waves in the treatment of external humeral epicondylitis can relieve local pain and improve grip strength and elbow function; in the clinical curative effect, relieve local pain and grip strength improved traditional Chinese medicine fumigation treatment is superior to shock wave group, and medicine fumigation combined with shock wave group curative effect is obviously superior to the traditional Chinese medicine fumigation group and shock wave group.
