Objective:The research group apply the research achievement of "identification system of Qi-Blood-Body Fluid state", combined with biofeedback therapy instrument, to observe and record the correlation between the TCM syndrome elements in male heroin addicts and the EEG, ECG, GSR, EMG and other indexes of physiological signals before and after the brainwave treatment, in order to view the formation of "addiction" of the TCM mechanism from the perspective of qi-blood-body fluid state identification, to finish the clinical test and verify of the "identification system of Qi-Blood-Body Fluid state", to broaden a dialectic clinical thinking of the TCM and to provide a new research direction for detoxification via Chinese medicine. Methods:Among standardized collection of the four diagnostic information of the 178 male patient voluntarily participating in the investigation of heroin addicts, there are 89 cases are from Fuzhou Public Security Compulsory Rehabilitation Centers (referred to as the compulsory group),89 cases are from Fuzhou Ze Xu Voluntary Rehabilitation Centers (referred to as the voluntary group). To identify the TCM syndrome elements in male heroin addicts by the research achievement of "identification system of Qi-Blood-Body Fluid state". At the same time, apply the biofeedback therapy instrument to develop the brainwave treatment on the voluntary group. Then the voluntary group is divided into two groups,55 cases are of drug treatment from voluntary group (referred to as control group),34 cases are from biofeedback therapy combined with drug (referred to as experimental group). The drug treatment programs of two groups are consistent, which provided by the Fuzhou Ze Xu Voluntary Rehabilitation Centers. To observe and record the EEG, ECG, GSR, EMG and other indexes of physiological signals before and after the brainwave treatment by the biological feedback instrument.Results:1. The characteristics of the TCM syndrome elements in heroin addicts:In the empirical syndrome nature of disease, qi stagnation, phlegm and dampness are the most common; in the deficiency syndrome nature of disease, qi deficiency and yang deficiency are the most common; in the disease’s location of syndrome elements, liver, spleen, kidney lie in the first place, especially in liver.2. The distribution tendency of the percentage of syndrome elements in the group is approximately the same. Between the two groups, the difference of syndrome elements are statistically significant(P<0.05) apart from the syndrome element of blood stasis(P>0.05).3. Association between drug addiction and TCM syndrome elements:drug use of years is related to the syndrome element of spleen, kidney, lung, heart, gallbladder; the quantity of drug use is related to the syndrome element of phlegm, wet, yin deficiency, qi stagnation, qi deficiency, blood deficiency, blood stasis and spleen, liver, kidney, lung, heart, stomach, gallbladder; the times of drug use is related to the syndrome element of phlegm, qi deficiency, blood stasis and spleen, liver, kidney, lung, heart, gallbladder. Intravenous injection is related to the syndrome element of yang deficiency, qi deficiency and liver.4. Association between biofeedback physiological signal indexes and TCM syndrome elements before and after the brainwave treatment:(1) After treatment, the left brain wave of θ, α,δ and FFT θ decrease compared with that before treatment, which are significantly different. (2) Before the treatment, the right brain wave of a, SMR, β,γ and FFT a are related to the syndrome element phlegm, spleen, kidney, etc.. After treatment, the left brain wave of θ, 8 are related to the syndrome element qi stagnation, qi deficiency, spleen, liver etc.; the right brain wave of θ, y are related to the syndrome element phlegm, spleen etc.; FFT θ and FFT a are related to the syndrome element phlegm, liver etc.. (3) Before the treatment, LF/HF, HF(%), PNN50 and BVP are related to the syndrome element yang deficiency, qi deficiency, kidney etc.; After treatment, LF/HF, HF(%) and VLF are related to the syndrome element yang deficiency, qi deficiency, kidney etc..(4) Before the treatment, SC/GSR is related to the syndrome element yang deficiency, qi deficiency, blood deficiency and heart.Conclusion:1. Heroin addiction is the results of a multiple organs dysfunction and qi-blood-body fluid natural loss. The syndrome mainly manifest as a mixture of asthenia and sthenia. Qi deficiency, yang deficiency, qi stagnation, phlegm and dampness are the major characteristic of the disease-nature, and the main syndrome is asthenia; liver, spleen, kidney are the major characteristics of the disease-location. Heroin addicts’progress, clinical manifestation, characteristics of syndrome element have difference at different stages, which should be give full consideration to the patients at different stages in the clinical diagnosis and treatment.2. As the drug-using time progresses, daily demand for quantity and frequency of drug use become higher and the risk of the body become greater.3. Part of EEG, ECG and GSR indexes have correlation with TCM syndrome elements before and after treatment of brainwave intervention in heroin addicts. Part of EEG indexes may be a valuable diagnosis of phlegm, spleen, kidney syndrome elements; and the left brain wave of θ, α,δ and FFT θ etc. have improved after brainwave treatment of heroin addicts, suggest EEG index may be as a therapeutic efficacy evaluation of reference of biological feedback brainwave of heroin addict; LF/HF, HF(%), VLF, BVP and other ECG index may be valuable diagnosis of qi deficiency, yang deficiency, heart, kidney and other syndrome elements; the SC/GSR index can give emotional feedback, which reflects disorder of organs, qi and blood function.4. The research development of "identification system of Qi-Blood-Body Fluid state" can better reflect the characteristics of TCM syndrome element in heroin addicts.
