| ObjectiveGouty arthritis is a metabolic disorder of purine metabolism in the human body. Excessive or decreased excretion of uric acid, resulting in the deposition of uric acid salt induced inflammation. The clinical manifestations of gout are gout arthritis and joint deformities caused by high uric acid salt crystals. Gouty arthritis patients’local joints will appeared red, swollen, hot, painful symptoms. If not promptly treated,the pain will be aggravated and repeated, eventually cause gout nephritis, kidney stones, sexual dysfunction and hypertension and other complications. With the quickening pace of life、the changes in diet structure and living environment, the incidence of nutrition related diseases is increasing day by day. In particular, the incidence of gout increased significantly(a growth rate of 0.97%per year). Severe acute attack of gout arthritis can lead to joint deformity in patients, resulting in a serious impact on patients’material life and spirit life.Modern western medicine treatment can quickly alleviate the symptoms of gouty arthritis, but the blood uric acid will be repeatedly increased after stopping the drug. There is varying degrees of adverse reactions by using acesodyne.There are various treatment in Traditional Chinese medicine of gouty arthritis. Traditional Chinese medicine is more natura、 more effective、safer than modern western medicine.This paper in order to provide a strong basis for Chinese medicine treatment of acute episode of gouty arthritis, by analysed the clinical symptom of patients with acute episode of gouty arthritis to search for the regularity of traditional Chinese medicine syndromes and the therapeutic effect of Modified Simiao soup,by setting up a control group and comparing of the pretherapy and posttherapy.Methods92 patients with acute episode of gouty arthritis that will meet the inclusion criteria were randomly divided into a control group and a treatment group. With the basic lifestyle intervention therapy, Modified Simiao soup was used in the treatment group, while the control group was given diclofenac sodium sustained release tablets, during two weeks.This paper observed the traditional Chinese medicine syndromes in acute episode of gouty arthritis, according to patients’clinical symptom. Before and after treatment, this research also made a observation about the integral of symptoms arthritis, the makers in blood (such as ESR CRP UA),the adverse reactions.ResuIts1. In this study, the red tongue with yellow sticky and the rolling, rapid pulse is the main tongue picture and pulse condition of patients in acute episode of gouty arthritis. The main symptoms of patients in acute episode of gouty arthritis are reddened skin、swelling、pain、fever、tenderness、limitation of activity on joint and fever、thirsty、viscous shit、yellow urine. According to 《The Standard for traditional Chinese medicine Diseases and Syndromes therapeutic results》, initially identified the main syndrome for acute episode of gouty arthritis was damp heat and blood stasis.2. Patients’blood cell count, C reaction protein and erythrocyte sedimentation rate were decreased after the treatment. There was no significant difference between the treatment group and the control group(P ＞0.05).3. After treatment, serum uric acid levels in the treatment group were decreased compared with before treatment (P＜0.05), which means that Modified Simiao soup has a certain effect of lowering uric acid. There was no significant difference in serum uric acid before and after treatment in the control group(P ＞0.05).4. After treatment, traditional Chinese medicine syndrome integral and the integral of arthritis in two groups was decreased compared with before treatment, and the effect of the treatment group was better than that of the control group (P<0.05).5. The traditional Chinese medicine syndrome curative effect of the treatment group was 100%, while the control group was 44.44%. It means that the effect of the treatment group was better than the control group (P<0.05).6. After treatment, the time of complete remission of joint symptoms of the treatment group was shorter than the control group (P<0.05).7. The treatment group and the control group did not appear the routine blood test、urine routine、Stool routine、liver function and kidney function damage.ConclusionThe research shows that the main traditional Chinese medicine Syndromes of acute gout period was damp heat and blood stasis. Modified Simiao soup has better effect than diclofenac sodium sustained release tablets on relieving symptoms of joints, reducing the level of inflammation and the uric acid. Modified Simiao soup was without obvious adverse effects. The effect of using Modified Simiao soup in the treatment of acute episode of gout arthritis curative was more significant and more secure. |
