The Clinical Observation Of Tianbai Jinhuangsan In Treating Acute Gouty Arthritis

ObjectiveTo observe the therapeutic effect and the safety of Tianbai jinhuangsan in the treatment of acute gouty arthritis, in order to promote clinical application of Tianbai jinhuangsan.Methods96 cases of gout patients were randomly divided into the treatment group (48 cases) and the control group (48 cases). The treatment group were treated by external application of Tianbai jinhuangsan and oral Colchicine Tablets, and the control group was treated by Colchicine Tablets. The observing period was 1 weeks. Recording clinical symptom score, pain VAS score, health assessment questionnaire score (HAQ-DI) before and after the treatment of two groups. Observing the change of erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR), C-reactive protein(CRP), uric acid(UA) before and after the treatment. Recording the occurrence of adverse reactions in the Clinical trial. Therapeutic effect criterion reference to "the guiding principle of clinical research on Chinese traditional medicine new drugs".ResultsThe significant efficiency of the treatment group was 29.16%, effective rate was 66.67%, invalid rate was 4.17%, the total effective rate was 95.83%. In the control group, the significant efficiency was 10.42%, effective rate was 83.33%, invalid rate was 6.25%, the total effective rate was 93.73%. The curative effect of treatment group was higher than the control group (P＜0.05). After the Clinical trial, the two groups both can reduce clinical symptom score, pain score, HAQ-DI, CRP, ESR, UA, the difference was statistically significant (P＜0.01). There was a significant difference between the two groups in clinical symptom score, pain score, CRP, ESR after the treatment(P＜0.05 or P＜0.01), the treatment group was better than the control group. HAQ-DI and UA has no difference after the treatment (P>0.05). Adverse reactions in two groups were less. There was has no difference between the two groups (P＞0.05).ConclusionThe curative effect of colchicine tablets combined with Tianbai jinhuangsan in treating acute gouty arthritis was better than simple oral colchicine tablets. Tianbai jinhuangsan can rapidly relief the clinical symptoms of acute gout arthritis and help reduced laboratory indexes, and do not have obvious side reaction. It is a safe, effective assistant treatment for acute gouty arthritis.
