ObjectiveThe Chronic Rhinosinusitis is one of the most familiar disease of E. N. T., Its rate of palindromia is 2~30%, with a higher incidence of nasal polyp. For patient with poor effect treated by conservative treatment, The success of the surgical operation is the critical first steps to solves the chronic Rhinosinusitis, the comprehensive treatment after operation is also importance that not allows to neglect. With the technology of Functional Endoscopic Sinus Surgery more and more matures, more and more doctors are beginning to pay attention to the comprehensive therapy and care after operation, Due to nasal irrigation after surgery is effective, operation is simple and convenient, less pain, less side-effects, so it were welcomed by our department in hospitalized patients. In recent years, people pay more attention to Chinese herbal irrigation. The research objective is to observe the clinical effect of patients with chronic sinusitis and nasal endoscopic surgery treated by Chinese herbal irrigation of Cangzhi.MethodsAccording to the randomized method,80 patients divided into treatment group and control group 40 cases in each. Treatment group was beginning irrigated by Chinese herbal irrigation of Cangzhi on the third day after surgery,control group was irrigated by 0.9% normal saline. Recorded every patients general information about age, gender, course before surgery, and record score of sings and symptoms according to the Sino-nasol outcome test-20 (SNOT-20), Visual analogue Scale(VAS), Lund-kennedy point method before surgery, record score of VAS、Lund-kennedy in the first week and fourth week after surgery, record score of SNOT-20 in the fourth week after surgery, record the number of patients of the nasal cavity clean in the first, the second, the third, the fourth week, record the number of patients of the nasal mucous Epithelial change in the sixth, the eighth, the tenth, the twelfth week, Compare the difference of two groups bofore and after treatment by SPSS19.0, when P<0.05, the difference have statistical significance.ResultsThe difference of VAS in the first week after surgery between the two groups have statistically significant (P<0.05), prominent significant difference in the fourth week after surgery (P<0.01). The difference of SNOT-20 in both groups in the fourth week, have prominent significant difference(P<0.01) comparing with before surgery. In the fourth week, The difference of SNOT-20 in the treatment group has statistically significant (P<0.05) in the Need to blow nose, Post-nasal discharge and Thick nasal discharge three aspects comparing with the control group. The difference of Lund-Kennedy scores between Two groups has statistically significant (P<0.05) in the first, the fourth week. The difference of the nasal cavity clean have prominent significant difference (P<0.01) comparing with the control group.The difference of the nasal mucous Epithelial change have prominent significant difference (P<0.01) comparing with the control group.ConclusionsThe Chinese herbal irrigation of Cangzhi and normal saline were had irrigate effect, The Chinese herbal irrigation of Cangzhi irrigate curative effect better than normal saline. The Chinese herbal irrigation of Cangzhi Can effectively remove the nasal cavity secretions, relieve the edema of nasal mucosa, shorten the time of the nasal cavity clean and the nasal mucous Epithelial change, it worth to Popularization and application in clinical.
