Objective To evaluate the efficacy and safety of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) nasal irrigating for Chronic Rhinosinusitis (CRS) after FESS.Methods we searched the document database and science periodical by computer and handwork for randomized controlled trials (RCTs) about TCM nasal irrigating for CRS after FESS. Trial screening, quality assessment of included trials, and data extract were conducted. Statistical analysis was conducted by using RevMan 4.2.10 software. Results A total of 32 RCTs in the Chinese language were identified. We use the Meta-analysis to research the 32 RCTs in Clinical efficacy, Mucosal morphology, Mucociliary transport rate, Cleaning time, Curative time, Immunology index, Adverse raction. It is a high possibility that the experimental group is better than control group. Conclusions The current evidence shows TCM tends to improve the Clinical efficacy and reduce the curative time with CRS without obvious adverse reaction, after FESS. Due to the low methodological quality of trials included, more RCTs of high quality and large scale are required.
