Objective:To discuss the relationship between birth weight difference and early outcome in twins. Methods:Retrospective analysis was conducted in the clinical data of 451 twins in the first hospital of Jilin University neonatal department from 2013 to 2015. All cases were divided into different groups according to birth weight difference and were compared the incidence of neonatal diseases between the groups. Twins were divided into heavier or lighter weight group according to birth weight and compared the incidence of neonatal diseases. Result:This paper including 451 twins: 452 were female babies and the other were male babies. There were 144 test-tube babies in this research(31.9%) and in the same period there were 10182 test-tube babies(4.9%) in hospital, there were significant difference between two groups. 625 babies were by cesarean delivery. In this study there were 826 preterm babies and the percentage was 91.25%. 799 babies were low birth weight and the percentage was 89%. There was significant difference between birth weight difference groups in incidences of neonatal diseases, including Bronchi Pulmonary Dysphasia( BPD)、 Cytomegalovirus infection、neonatal encephalopathy、necrotizing enterocolitis(NEC)、Respiratory Distress Syndrome(RDS)、neonatal encephalopathy and neonatal scleredema. The lighter group had higher Incidence of patent ductus arteriosus(PDA)and anemia than heavier group and the difference were significant between both groups;Compare the incidence of neonatal diseases between heavier and lighter weight group in each birth weight difference group, there were obvious difference of neonatal anemia in ≥30% group, the incidence of anemia was higher in lighter group. PDA, anemia, RDS, ICH, BPD and sepsis had the highest incidence in turn. The most common malformation were hand-foot deformity, digest deformity and urinary tract deformity In turn. The most common congenital heart diseases were PDA, ventricular septal defect and atrial septal defect. Conclusion:1.Test-tube baby, cesarean delivery, preterm infant and low birth weight infant had high incidence in twins.2. birth weight difference were associated with incidence of neonatal diseases including Bronchi Pulmonary Dysphasia( BPD)、 Cytomegalovirus infection 、neonatal encephalopathy、necrotizing enterocolitis(NEC)、Respiratory Distress Syndrome(RDS)、neonatal encephalopathy and neonatal scleredema.3. The incidence of PDA and anemia in twins were related to birth weight and lighter group had higher incidence than heavier group; in ≥30% group and lighter group had higher incidence of anemia.4. PDA, anemia, RDS, ICH, BPD and sepsis had the highest incidence in turn.5. The most common malformation were congenital heart diseases, hand-foot deformity, digest deformity and urinary tract deformity in turn.
