| ObjectiveBy analyzing the causes, mechanisms, and symptoms of Cough Varient Asthma,the paper tries to observe the therapeutic effect of adjusted decoction of Bupleurum scorzomerifoium Willd and trifoliate Platycodon Root on Cough Varient Asthma with type of shaoyang wind-phlegm, and compare the changes of serum IL-12 value and serum total Ig E value of patients in the treatment group after the application of adjusted decoction of Bupleurum scorzomerifoium Willd and trifoliate Platycodon Root with their original values; finally, given the research result, the paper discussed the clinical potential influencing mechanism of adjusted decoction of Bupleurum scorzomerifoium Willd and trifoliate Platycodon Root on Cough Varient Asthma.MethodsAll the Cough Varient Asthma patients met the inclusion criteria of this study.And finally The patients were randomly divided into the treatment group(30 cases)and the control group(33 cases). All the cases was chosen form the Pulmonary Disease Department of Yunnan Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital and Kunming Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital from December 2014 to November 2015,There were no significantly statistical differences in the gender, age, and course of disease among all of the patients, with comparability. The adjusted decoction of Bupleurum scorzomerifoium Willd and trifoliate Platycodon Root(bupleurum, fried fructus, scutellaria baicalensis, ligusticum chuanxiong hort, Platycodon grandiflorum,forsythia,tenuifolia,bulbus fritillariae thunbergii, Coke Divine Comedy)was used in the treatment group, once per day, lasting for 2 weeks.The Salmeterol Xinafoate and Fluticasone Propionate Powder for Inhalation(Seretide 50μg/250μg) was used in the4 control group, twice per day and one inhalation for each time, with 2-week observation. All the patients filled the case report form,the data was analyzed at the ending of treatment and the therapeutic effect was evaluated. The paper mainly observed the improvement of cough symptom, visual analogue scale, and their complications and the changes of serum IL-12 value and serum total Ig E value after their treatments. Moreover, the paper used enzyme linked immunosorbent assay to test the changes of serum IL-12 value and serum total Ig E value of patients in the treatment group after the application of adjusted decoction of Bupleurum scorzomerifoium Willd and trifoliate Platycodon Root with their original values.ResultsThe main cough symptom score and visual analogue score of all the patients were lower than before, there was statistically significant difference(P<0.05). But,there were no significant differences between the two group before and after the treatment.After the treatment, the complication symptoms of expectoration, throat itching,bitter taste, and tightness of chest were relieved, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05). Among these symptoms, in the two groups the average score of expectoration, throat dryness, and tightness of chest of the patients were not different significantly no matter before or after the treatment. But the differences in the average score of throat itching, bitter taste between the two groups after the treatment were significant(P were 0.046 and 0.034 respectively).The serum IL-12 value was sharply higher than before in the treatment group,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.01), while the serum total Ig E value was obviously lower than before, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.01).The total efficiency rate of the treatment group was 76.67%. And in the control group,the total efficiency rate was 81.82%. The difference between the two group in the total efficiency rate was not significant(P=0.501). There was no adverse reaction in the treatment group, but in the control group there were 3 cases experienced throat discomfort and hoarseness,the discomfort symptoms were relieved after changing the treatment methods.Conclusion:The adjusted decoction of Bupleurum scorzomerifoium Willd and trifoliate Platycodon Root was used as empirical formula on Cough disease with the type of shaoyang wind-phlegmas. Think about the same causes, mechanisms and symptoms on Cough Varient Asthma with the type of shaoyang wind-phlegm, The total efficiency rate of adjusted decoction of Bupleurum scorzomerifoium Willd and trifoliate Platycodon Root in treating Coug Varient Asthma almost equal with the Seretide, the therapeutic was well satisfied.The application of adjusted decoction of Bupleurum scorzomerifoium Willd and trifoliate Platycodon Root could also improve the complications, especially in throat itching and bitter taste. Moreover, the treatment could significantly increase the serum IL-12 value and lower the serum total Ig E value, it remind that the immune mechanism of adjusted decoction of Bupleurum scorzomerifoium Willd and trifoliate Platycodon Root may be the one base of the clinical therapeutic effect. |
