Research On Quality Of Life And Demands And Utilization Of Community Health Services On The Elderly In Chengdu

With the acceleration of ageing and the constantly improvement of the elderly’s quality of life, the community elderly’s health services demand is constantly growing, which brings new challenges to the community health service institutions. This research extracts 500 community elder people who are from Wuhou district, Qingyang district, Gaoxin district and Jinniu district in Chengdu, in 2015, as the research objects, aiming at through deep investigation on the community elder people’s quality of life, community health service demand, needs and utilization in Chengdu City, to analyze Chengdu city community elder people’s quality of life condition and the influencing factors, to understand the community elder people’s community health service utilization status, to further find out the existed problems during the process when the current community health service institutions supply the elderly medical and health services, meanwhile to learn the community health service institution’s service items that the elderly in Chengdu city want, and all of these are for the administrative department of public health and community health service institutions managers’decision-making reference.This research applies several methods like literature retrieval, expert consultation, questionnaire survey, and statistical analysis, etc., to learn the current Chengdu city community elder people’s general demographic characteristics, life quality, and its main influencing factors, medical and health service’s needs, community health service demand and utilization, the main factors that affect the elderly choosing community the community health service institutions, the current supplied elderly medical and health service items and implementation status, etc., and it also analyzed and discussed the contents that were invested and finally gets the following conclusions and suggestions:The prevalence rate of the community elder people in Chengdu who suffer from chronic disease is very high, the community health service demand is stronger. The high blood pressure, diabetes, neck/lumbar disease, osteoporosis, chronic bronchitis are the main chronic non-communicable diseases that harm the community elder people in Chengdu. Generally speaking, the elder people’s life quality is good, and the main factors that affect the invested elder people’s quality of life are their interpersonal relationship, medicine dependence, chronic disease prevalence situation, age, the latest 2 weeks’health condition, whether exercise. The community elder people’s community health service utilization status is generally good, but there are huge differences on the single community health service item’s awareness level and utilization rate, and there’s also changes on the demands.It suggests that human resources investment should be increased, the health technical personnel in the community health service institutions should be increased; the service quality in the community health service institutions should be improved; the community health service items’supplement should be perfected, the health education, health management and health promotion work should be attached great importance.
