The Early Complications Analysis Of Unicompartmental Knee Aarthroplastyin Treatment Of Medial Compartment Arthritis

Objective:To explore the factors influencing the incidence of complications in Unicompartmental Knee Aarthroplastyin Treatment of Medial Compartment Arthritis.Methods:The study was carried out on retrospective case-control methods.The surgical indications of the Oxford unicompartmental knee arthroplasty for 134 consecutive patients who underwent UKA for isolated medial knee osteoarthritis.Including34 males(46knee) and100 females(151knees), the average age of surgery was 66.3 years(43-87 years old), All operations were performed by the same surgeon withminimally invasive surgery and the Oxfordphase-3mobile-bearing unicompartmental knee prosthesis.Results:All patients were maintained follow-up;none of the patients lost to follow-up.The operation time was 16.7(6-27)min.3 patients the Cemen were flexibled,2 patients the prosthesis were dislocation;2 patients had been infection;1 patient the joint capsule ruptured because of the patient has a mistake function exercise.Conclusion:The findings show that, with reasonable indications selection of surgery, continuously improve surgical technique and the Oxford phase-3mobile-bearing unicompartmental knee prosthesis, unicompartmental knee arthroplasty that using minimally invasive surgery in treatment of isolated medial compartment arthritis has less trauma,shorter operative time, less bone cutting,less blood loss at intra-operation and a larger range of motion, shorter hospital stay,fewer complications, faster functional recovery,less cost and other advantages, achieved excellent or good short-term clinical efficacy. And the long-term efficacy of this therapy still needs observation.
