Clinical Study Of Paris Polyphylla Babu Agent In The Treatment Of Acute Gouty Arthritis

Objective: The study on Application of Paris polyphylla var.yunnanensis cataplasm topical combined with diclofenac sodium sustained release capsules were observed and evaluated for the treatment of acute gouty arthritis clinical efficacy.With simple oral diclofenac sodium sustained release capsules as the reference,comparison and evaluation and discussion of differences in clinical efficacy of the two methods, evaluate curative effect and advantages of Paris polyphylla var.yunnanensis cataplasm and try to promote the treasure of traditional Chinese medicine and explore Yunnan trueborn medicinal materials, development of new formulations provide some reference and suggestions.Methods: Will December 2014 to visit in December 2015 to Kun ming municipal hospital of TCM with incorporated into standard, course of treatment and follow-up observation of the complete 53 cases of acute gout arthritis cases,according to the odd and even date classification(odd numbers of patients in the control group, even the date of treatment group),27 cases of the control group,patients in the treatment group(26 cases), two groups were treated with diclofenac sodium sustained release capsules, treatment group and external application of Paris polyphylla var.yunnanensis Babu agent and control group without the use of any drugs for external use only their own local cold compress. Recording joint swelling,skin temperature, pain, limited function, blood uric acid, and local itching, rash, liver function(ALT AST), renal function(Scr) and all kinds of indexes of safety were observed by regular observation, patient review and follow-up. The data were collected for statistical analysis, and the clinical effects of two different treatment methods were evaluated.Results: In the observation of the clinical efficacy of the treatment of acute gouty arthritis, control group and treatment group in a course of swelling and heat pain, functional activity can be effectively improved. In acute gouty arthritis, two groups of lowering uric acid without statistical significance; two groups in pain,swollen and red, the function of joint symptoms aspect, the treatment group improved rate was significantly higher than that of the control group, the difference is statistically significant; in improving joint skin temperature, were similar in both groups, the differences in the efficacy of no statistical significance.Conclusion: External application of Paris polyphylla var.yunnanensis Babu agent with conventional oral diclofenac sodium sustained release capsules is pure oral diclofenac sodium sustained release capsules to reduce joint pain, swelling,activity function aspects have significantly improved; and was not found symptoms of medicine for external application of local and systemic side effects, is worthy of further popularization and application.
