Clinical Efficacy Evaluation Study On Knee Osteoarthritis Treatment Method By Yi Qi Yang Xue Method

Objective: To investigate the theoretical basis and feasibility of osteoarthritis(OA)for the treatment of Yi Qi Yang Xue method and the clinical efficacy and safety of evaluation Yiqi Yangxue Decoction in the treatment of knee osteoarthritis(KOA). To provide a theoretical basis for further screening of Yi Qi Yang Xue decoction and treating OA of traditional Chinese medicine research.Methods: 1.Theoretical research: accessing to relevant literature to analysis the theory and prescription compatibility relations of Yi Qi Yang Xue method to treat osteoarthritis(OA); 2.Clinical research: through randomized, open and positive drug parallel control study, 60 cases of type of deficiency of both qi and blood of patients with KOA was assigned as treatment group(30 cases) and control group(30 cases),randomly. Using Yi Qi Yang Xue decoction and Diacerein Capsules for 8 weeks,respectively. Then to observe the effect of two groups of KOA patients with joint pain,swelling, joint activities, morning stiffness, joint function and TCM syndrome integral,Michel index Lequesen, WOMAC score, Health Assessment Questionnaire(HAQ),ESR, CRP and liver and kidney function index.Results:1.Theoretical study shows: Yi Qi Yang Xue decoction have a reasonable compatibility rigorous which starting from the etiology and pathogenesis of OA and basing on Bu Zhong Gui Zhi decoction and combining the disease and syndrome of differentiation. 2.In comparison before and after treatment, The treatment group can significantly improve the patient’s pain, swelling, joint activities, morning stiffness time, joint function, Michel index Lequense, WOMAC and HAQ score(P < 0.01).Both total effective rates of therapeutic effect of syndrome and curative effect were96.67%. After 2 weeks of treatment, the treatment group of TCM syndrome total score, joint pain, swelling, joint activities were significantly improved(P<0.01), and the treatment group was better than the control group(P<0.01). After 4 weeks of treatment, patients in the treatment group of morning stiffness, the WOMAC index, Michel Lequense index were obtained improved significantly(P<0.01). The treatment group symptom total score was better than that of the control group(P <0.05). The total dose and the number of taking Aceclofenac Tablets in the treatment group were less than those in the control group. And comparing he number of taking Aceclofenac Tablets, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05). Before and after treatment, the treatment group of CRP and ESR were in the normal range of fluctuations.During the research, the treatment group had not discovered other poisonous adverse reactions.Conclusion: 1.Yi Qi Yang Xue method is an effective method for the treatment of osteoarthritis. 2.Yiqi Yangxue method can improve KOA(type of deficiency of qi and blood) joint pain in patients, swelling, joint activities, morning stiffness time, joint function, Michel index Lequense, WOMAC and HAQ score. It is a safe and effective method for clinical treatment of OA, and it is worthy of further study and extensive application.
