Objectives To investigate the current situation of professional life quality, psychological capital and job involvement of nurses, to explore the relationship between the three, and to provide scientific basis for nursing management.Methods Convenience sampling method was used.Totally 405 nurses was recruited from a three class A tertiary hospitals in Ji’nan,China during October 2015 to November 2015.They were investigated with the general information questionnaire, Professional Quality of Life Scale(ProQOL-V), Psychological Capital scale and Utrecht Work Engagement Scale(UWES).SPSS 20.0 statistical software was used for data entry and analysis,including descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation analysis, multiple linear regression analysis.Results1. A total 450 questionnaires was distributed, of which 426 were returned and 405 (95.07%) were usable.2. The original score of compassion satisfaction, burnout secondary traumatic stress were:28.08±4.53,29.64±5.57,29.21±6.12. The score of psychological capital was 4.54±0.65. the score rate of each dimension from high to low was:optimism, self efficacy, resilience, hope. The score on work engagement was 3.48±1.44, the highest score rate was the vitality commitment, the lowest score rate was the dedication commitment.3.The influence of nurses’ general information on variables:(1) The professional quality of life was affected by gender, age, working years, professional title, preparation, monthly income, and the difference is statistically significant (P< 0.05).(2) Psychological capital was affected by the department and preparation, and the difference is statistically significant (P< 0.05).(3) The work engagement was affected by gender, the department, and preparation, and the difference was statistically significant (P< 0.05).4.By Person correlation analysis we drew a conclusion:(1) Compassion satisfaction was positively related to each dimension of psychological capital, and the relationship between burnout and secondary traumatic stress was negatively correlated with each dimension of psychological capital.(2) Compassion satisfaction was positively correlated with each dimension of work engagement, and was negatively correlated with each dimension of work engagement.(3) The four dimensions of psychological capital and the three dimensions of work engagement have positive correlation.5 By multiple linear regression analysis:(1) Compassion satisfaction is met with a positive predictive effect on vitality, dedication and focus; Burnout has a negative predictive effect on vigor, dedication, and focus; Secondary trauma stress has a negative predictive effect on vitality, dedication, and focus.(2) Self-efficacy has a positive predictive effect on vigor, dedication and absorption;and Hope to have a positive predictive effect on vigor, dedication and absorption;Optimism has a positive predictive effect on vigor.Conclusions1. Nurses’professional quality of life level is not optimistic. Burnout and Secondary traumatic stress levels are higher. Psychological capital and Work engagement is at a medium level. Optimism and self-efficacy scores had the higher score, Resiliency and hope had the lower score.The highest score rate was the vigor commitment,the lowest score rate was the dedication commitment.2.General information, gender, age, working years, professional title, preparation, the monthly income on the professional quality of life have influence; Department, the preparation of psychological capital have influence; gender, Department, the preparation of the work engagement have influence.3.Compassion satisfaction and the dimensions of Psychological capital are positively related, Burnout, Secondary traumatic stress and psychological capital, Work engagement dimensions are negative correlation, each dimension of Psychological capital and the dimensions of Work engagement are positively related.4.Compassion satisfaction have a positive prediction effect Work engagement; Burnout and Secondary traumatic stress have a negative prediction effect Work engagement. Self-efficacy has positive effect on vigor, dedication, absorption; Hope has positive effect on vigor, dedication, absorption; Optimistic has positive effect on vigor.
