Objectives To explore the universality of Nurse-Nurse Collaboration Scale(NNCS) in clinical nurses among different departments in China, providing a quantitative evaluation tool for nursing managers and researchers to carry out related researches; Investigate the level of nurse-nurse collaboration and nurses’ subjective well-being, and discuss the correlation between them, so as to provide reference for clinical nursing managers to make measures strengthen nurses’ subjective well-being.Methods First, wrote to the original author for authorization; The translation and cross cultural adjustment process was conducted according to the principle of Brislin translation, thus formulated the pre-test version of NNCS. Then the pre-test version of NNCS was used to investigate 45 clinical nurses selected by convenience sampling method for pre-survey and calculated the pre-test chronbach’s α; Finally, demographic questionnaire, Chinese version of NNCS and Campbell subjective well-being Scale were distributed to 574 nurses selected by convenient sampling method among three mayor hospitals in Hefei, Anhui Province. Two weeks after the end of all survey, Again convenient sampling method was used to select 50 nurses to repeat the NNCS, so as to calculate the test-retest reliability. Chronbach ’s α, half-split reliability and test-retest reliability were used to evaluate reliability of Chinese version of NNCS; Decision value method, correlation coefficient method and Chronbach ’s α method were used to select items. The validity of the Chinese version of NNCS was tested by face validity, content validity, construct validity and known group validity. Statistical analysis was performed using SPSS 13.0 and AMOS 17.0 software. Results Section 1: Expert content validity evaluation result showed that the Item-level Content Validity Index(I-CVI) of item 3, 5 and 7 were 0.33, 0.11, 0.55, respectively. Those items were considered to be deleted, then the average CVI of NNCS was 0.978; The I-CVI of the remaining items were 0.88~1.00. Items analysis result showed that correlation coefficient between item 6, 12~17 and the total score were 0.203~0.330(P<0.05); Correlation coefficient between the remaining items and the total score were ranged from 0.450 to 0.709(P<0.05). After being deleted items 6, 12~17 respectively, Cronbach ’alpha of the scale were 0.898~0.905>0.897(Cronbach’ alpha of the total scale), so this items were considered to be deleted, too. Four factors were extracted by exploratory factor analysis, which explained 57.970% of the total variance. First-confirmatory factor analysis and second-confirmatory factor analysis results showed: χ2/df=2.326/2.545, GFI=0.923/0.921, AGFI=0.901/0.897, RMSEA=0.048/ 0.052, RMR=0.018/0.045, NFI=0.927/0.921, CFI=0.957/0.950, TLI=0.949/0.940. The Cronbach’s α for the over scale was 0.934, the split-half reliability coefficient was 0.880, the test-retest reliability coefficient was 0.837.Section 2: The score of nurse-nurse collaboration was(80.75±8.90). Dimension of Professionalism got the highest score of(3.33±0.44) and dimension of communication had the lowest score of(3.13±0.47). The score of nurses’ subjective well-being was(10.41±2.12). There was a positive correlation between nurse-nurse collaboration and nurses’ subjective well-being(P<0.05). Nurses’ department, the dimensions of professionalism and communication play influence on nurses’ subjective well-being(P<0.05). After control the influence of department, the two dimensions of NNCS can explain 11.9% of the total variance of nurses’ subjective well-being independently. Conclusion Chinese version of NNCS consists 25 items and 4 dimensions. It is proved to be reliable and valid. It can be used to assess the status of collaboration among clinical nurses in China. The higher the level of nurse-nurse collaboration, the stronger the nurses’ subjective well-being. Nursing managers should pay attention to nurse-nurse collaboration, and at the same time aware the influence of different departments on nurses’ subjective well-being, so as to make targeted strategies to improve nurses’ subjective well-being.
