Objective: To evaluate the correlation between of Eosinophila and prognosis of ventilator associated pneumonia. Method: Choose 53 patients in Emergency intensive care unit from September 2013 to April 2015 who have diagnosed VAP based on the treatment of VAP(2013) made by Intensive medical branch of Chinese medical association. The cause of death of them was VAP and its complications. Patients were divided into death group and survival group. Selecting the count of Eosinophila in the day of diagnose and the 3, 7, 10, day after diagnosed. The result were analyzed by SPSS17.0 statistical software, and normal distribution measurement data expressed by mean ± standard deviation, independent sample between group use t test, count date operated by chi-squared test, single factor analysis of variance applied to multiple time points. Choose some prognosis factors of VAP for ANOVA, select the danger factors for Cox proportional hazard model to evaluate the RR for EC contribute to death for VAP patients. Result: The information age, sex, APACHEⅡ, CPIS, MAP, multiple drug resistance, type of disease, the history of smoking, basic of illness showed no statistically significant between two groups(P>0.05). The difference of count of Eosinophila in every point was statistically significant and increased gradually in the course of disease between two groups. And sex, APACHEⅡ score, EC, multiple drug resistance was prongosis factors impacted obviously, the APACHEⅡ score(RR=2.428, P<0.05) an d Eosinophila(RR=0.133, P<0.05) was depandent risk factors for VAP. Conclusion: The trend of Eosinophil in the course of VAP used to evaluate the critical and has correlation with VAP. EC was a dependent prognosis factor of VAP, the result would be worse while EC below to normal range in the day diagnosed.
