The nutritional status, dietary structure, nutritional knowledge and behavior (KAP) of middle-aged civil servants in Loudi were investigated through sampling and visit survey. The characteristics and deficiencies of the diet and KAP were analyzed for middle-aged civil servants of in Loudi. These results may provide basic data for reasonable diet, correct concept of health and food consumption of middle-aged civil servants, and theoretical basis for improve the level of nutrition and health of civil servants of middle-aged civil servants.This survey was carried out in Loudi city. All reliable data were obtained through face-to-face inquiry, filling form and major returning visit mechanism.350 questionnaires are sent out, and 325 effective questionnaires were taken back.98 people were visited for dietary survey with 24-hour recall method. The comments and suggestions were given by calculating the average daily nutrient intake of civil servants with Chinese Dietary Recommending Guidance (DRIs,2011) as a reference.Survey results showed grain is 19.57%, Fruits and vegetables are 42.66%, soy and dairy is 12.16%, basically normal; fish, poultry and eggs accounts 21.32%, oil 4.26% for their dietary structure. This dietary structure is a typical three-high diet. Compared with recommended nutrient amount, their nutrients intake is that energy is 101.18%, protein is 145.78%, and dietary fiber is 67.53%. And vitamin intake is basically qualified. On nutrition knowledge, qualified ones account is 30.76%and good ones is 29.53%. On nutrition attitudes, qualified ones account is 48%(156) and good ones is 31.07%. And gaining ways of nutrition knowledge mainly is newspapers, magazines, television propaganda.The study results show that dietary structure of middle-aged civil servants in Loudi is not reasonable based on the following reasons:(1) intake of protein and fat is too high; (2) carbohydrates and dietary fiber is relatively low; (3) unreasonable collocation diet (4) popularity of nutrition knowledge is not enough; (5) many respondents have unhealthy dietary behavior; (6) the way of obtaining nutrition knowledge is relatively single and is uncontinuity. However, for studying nutrition knowledge, their learning attitudes is positive; and have more willing to improve their diet structure.
