To compare common thoracic girdle compressed binding and elastic bandages compressed binding with elastic corset compressed binding in prevention and treatment method of seroma formation after radical operation of breast cancer. Methods: Between Jan. 2013 and Dec. 2014, 54 women having surgery for primary breast cancer at general surgery were randomized to receive either a common thoracic girdle compressed binding(n=20),elastic bandages compressed binding(n=20) or elastic corset compressed binding(n=14) at the completion of the procedure. All patients had axillary lymph node dissection as part of the surgical procedure, of whom all were available for follow-up with a median of 3.2 months(range1-6). In the study, 54 patients were divided into three groups: A group(20 patients treated with common thoracic girdle compressed binding), B group(20 patients treated with elastic bandages compressed binding) and C group(14 patients treated with elastic corset compressed binding). To conduct a retrospective analysis of the seroma formation of the 40 patients treated with common thoracic girdle compressed binding and elastic bandages compressed binding and 14 patients treated with elastic corset compressed binding. The efficacy of prevention and treatment method of seroma formation and the complications were compared and analyzed. Of 54 patients, The following complications were evaluated at several points: fluidify quantity and duration, the incidence of skin flap necrosis and limited respiration. Univariate and multivariate analyses were performed to identify predictors for the measured surgical complications. In the study, we have some results.
