Objective:To investigate the necessity of designing the anatomic tibia prothesis distinguish from different gender by measuring the tibia section images vectorially in Chinese adults.Methods:61patients with74Chinese knee osteoarthritis volunteer knee (35knee in men and39women knee) with spiral CT scan. Using CT three-dimensional reconstruction technique to obtain the same knee replacement process on the surface of the tibia bone cutting in image, and build on cross section image coordinates, according to every10°around the line drawn from the origin of coordinates to the section, a measure of the length of the male, the female each line to get the data, the measured data input by SPSS18.0statistical software to analyze the results of different gender statistics the morphological differences of the section, the proximal tibia and the mean and standard deviation, and give the point size line length and the length of the inside diameter of the linear correlation, regression equation are obtained.Results:The ratios of the lengths of70°、250°、310°、320°segments with the0°segment (x±s) have statistical differences.Conclusions:The shape of tibia sections between different gender in Chinese adult exist difference and designing the anatomic tibia prothesis distinguish from different gender is necessary.
