Comparing The Efficacy Of-hCG Alone And With U-hcg Triggering Under ICSI-ET Cycles

Objective Compare the efficacy of recombinant hCG (r-hCG)250μg alone and with urinary hCG(u-hCG)2000～5000IU ontriggering undergoing intracytoplasmic sperm injection cycles andembryo transfer (ICSI-ET).Methods A retrospective cohort study which included ICSI-ETcases at reproductive medical center of First Affiliated Hospital ofGuangxi Medical University was performed, from June1,2011toMay31,2013. There were88cycles (group A) using r-hCG250μgand55cycles (group B) using r-hCG250μg and u-hCG2000～5000IU for triggering. The age of women was from25to34. The numberof oocytes retrieved was from4to20. All data analysis wasperformed by using Statistical Package For Social Sciences version16.0.Results1).There were patients selection bias between r-hCGalone and r-hCG with u-hCG. R-hCG group was more cycle day2antral follicle count after down regulation (CD2-AFC). The total andstart volume of Gonadotropin reduced. The risk of OHSS was higher in r-hCG group. The difference was statistically significant.2).Either during the term of CD2-AFC＞15or during the term ofCD2-AFC10—15, there were no significant differences in metaphaseII oocytes (MII) rate,2PN fertilization rate, normal oocyte cleavagerate, embryo survival rate, good-quality embryos rate, embryoimplantation rate, clinical pregnancy rate, early abortion rate andlive birth rate between the two groups.Conclusion In the women who were25-34years old， withnormal Body Mass Index (BMI) and normal ovarian function, duringCD2-AFC≥10, r-hCG250μg with u-hCG2000～5000IU showsequivalent efficacy to r-hCG250μg in the rate of oocyte maturation,fertilization, cleavage, and in terms of embryo survival rate,good-quality embryos rate, pregnancy outcomes.
