Health care is a special industry which is relative to national economy and people’s livelihood. As a carrier of health care, the key task of hospital is to facilitate the general mass as well as to provide fast and highly-efficient service. However currently, most of the comprehensive general hospitals have been reported to feature difficulty and high expenses for health care. Satisfaction of patients is relatively low in the overall scale.The article takes Shijiazhuang No.1 People’s Hospital as the specific object of study and carries out empirical research. By analyzing the medical treatment process of outpatients through various approaches, including on-site observation, working practices and original data collection, the author has found out several problems, such as ineffective reservation, insufficient windows for registration and payment, poor layout of clinics, cumbersome and complicated treatment process as well as insufficient application of information technology. The article has investigated outpatients’ satisfaction degree for the comprehensive service of the hospital through questionnaires, which including the following aspects, such as the convenience for getting a proper treatment, the feedback after receiving a treatment, service attitude of medical personnel, medical environment, layout of various offices, efficiency of treatment guidance and respective order during medical treatment. The article also investigated the attitude of patients on applying mobile internet payment terminals. According to the questionnaire, most patients complain about the long period of registration, inspection and waiting for a triage, which have become the bottleneck for further improving the satisfaction degree for health care service. After analyzing the root cause for aforementioned problems through the application of expertise of operational management and service management, it is mainly caused by the concentration of visiting hours, improperly arranged layout of offices as well as insufficient medical resourses comparing with the huge demand of patients. By applying the procedure analysis method of process reengineering, the article has focused on the current outstanding problems in hospital as well as the appeal of patients, improved and reformed clinic service procedures and enhance these procedures with the support of information technologies.By optimizing treatment process in hospital, current medical resources have been fully applied, the period of treatment for patients have been shortened. It has also ameliorated the aged problems, such as the difficulties for getting a medical treatment, while in the meantime greatly increasing the working efficiency of medical service personnel and improving patients’ satisfaction for the hospital by certain level.
