Objectives:Establishing appropriate health education pathway for patients with lung cancer was to discuss the application effects of health education pathway on non-surgical patients with lung cancer.Methods:1.Depending on the methods of literature reviews,in-depth intervie ws, questionnaire investigations and focus groups, health education pat hway for non-surgical patients with lung cancer was established.2.80 non-surgical patients with lung cancer, the object of study, tr eated by respiratory medicine from February 2014 to August 2014 in a three-A level hospital in Zhengzhou were randomly divided into two g roups:pathway group and control group.40 patients in control group were received health guidance with traditional health education and 40 patients in pathway group were adopted health guidance with self-pro grammed health education pathway. Self-Anxiety Scale(SAS), Self-Depr ession Scale(SDS), Quality of Life Questionnaire Core-30 (QLQ-C30), questionnaires on related knowledge of lung cancer and satisfaction questionnaires were applied to compare two group of patients’quality of life, psychological status, conditions of mastering related knowled ge of lung cancer and satisfaction to nursing service. All data was inpu t by Excel, processed with 17.0 version of SPSS software through x2 te st, t test, mean±standard deviation and nonparametric rank sum test. Results:Health education pathway of non-surgical treatment was formed. T he mean scores of SAS and SDS among patients in pre-test pathway gr oup were respectively (45.6±7.2) and (43.2±6.5) while that in control group were respectively(59.5±7.5) and (57.3±8.9). The results showe d that the total scores in pathway group were lower than that in control group. The differences between two groups were statistically significa nt. (P<0.05).Comparing mastering related knowledge of disease in path way group with that in control group, the difference existed statistical s ignificance (Z=-2.245, P<0.05)2.80 non-surgical patients with lung cancer were randomly divide d into two groups.pathway group and control group. Comparing mast ering related knowledge of disease in pathway group with that in contr ol group, the difference existed statistical significance (Z=-2.375,P<0. 05); The mean scores of SAS and SDS among patients in pathway gro up were respectively (42.3±6.2) and (32.5±7.4) while that in control gro up were respectively(61.9±7.7) and (44.4±11.2). The results showed that the total scores in pathway group were lower than that in control grou p. The differences between two groups were statistically significant, (t =6.224、5.479, P<0.05). Comparing pathway group with control group in role function, emotional function, cognitive function, overall health, t iredness, pain, anhelation, insomnia and appetite, differences between t wo groups were statistically significant (P<0.05); The satisfaction rat e of patients to nursing services in pathway group was 95% while that in control group was 77.5%. The difference between two groups was s tatistically significant(x2=5.165, P<0.05)Conclusions:Health education pathway, applied to non-surgical treatment of lun g cancer patients’health education, can make lung cancer patients qui ckly master related knowledge of disease and actively participate in t he treatment of disease and nursing. What’s more, implementing positi ve health education pathway for non-surgical treatment of patients with lung cancer can effectively relieve their anxiety and depression, largely enhance patients’quality of life, greatly increase patients’sense of trus t to nursing staff and improve patients’ satisfaction to nursing services. Therefore, health education pathway can improve health education eff ects on non-surgical treatment of patients with lung cancer.
