Objectives:Understand the glaucoma patients'psychological and sleep status through the investigation on their mood and sleep. Analyze the influence of mood and sleep on the intraocular pressure and the control of glaucoma patients'condition. Discuss the effect of the health education and psychological intervention to improving the glaucoma patients'unhealthy mood and sleep quality.Methods:(1) The research collected142primary glaucoma patients in Ophthalmological Section of the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangxi Medical University from August2010to August2011, and selected100patients with undesirable mood in them who met the standard definition of this research. The selected100patients were stochastically divided into the control group (50patients) and intervention group (50patients).(2) Using general information questionnaire, anxiety self rating scale, depression self rating scale and Pittsburgh sleep quality index scale, investigated the general information, mood and sleep quality of the research object.(3) The control group and intervention group were given the same conventional treatment and nursing, simultaneously the intervention group was performed systemic health education and psychological intervention. Results:In the142glaucoma patients, the anxious patients, the depression patients separately account for61.27%and51.41%, and patients with both anxiety and depression account for42.25%. There are98.85%patients in the87cases anxious patients belong to mild anxious ones,1.15%patients belong to moderate anxious ones. There are79.45%patients in the73cases depression patients belong to mild depression,20.55%patients belong to moderate depression ones.(2) The glaucoma patients'SAS and SDS scores are higher than the normal crowd in domestic (p<0.05).(3) The glaucoma patients' PSQI total score and various factors score are higher than the normal at home (p<0.05).(4) After interventions:The intraocular pressure of the control group are higher than the intervention group (p<0.05). There are obvious differences in statistics between two groups in SAS and SDS (p<0.05).(5) The respective comparisons on their own longitudinal PSQI of the control group and the intervention group indicated that both groups'PSQI total score were all better one month after their admission to hospital (p<0.05). Comparing the two groups, the PSQI total score and various factors score of intervention group are lower than that of control group. The sleep quality of the intervention group were all better than that of the control group (p<0.05).(6) Anxiety, depression, age and intraocular pressure was positive correlation with the PSQI total score (p<0.05).Conclusions:(1) In the glaucoma patients, the anxious patients, the depression patients separately account for61.27%and51.41%, and patients with both anxiety and depression account for42.25%. The degree of anxiety and depression is mild.(2) The glaucoma patients' PSQI total score and all7factors score are higher than the normal crowd in domestic (p<0.05). Most of the glaucoma patients have poor sleep quality.(3) Anxiety, depression, age and intraocular pressure was closely correlation with the sleep quality of the glaucoma patients. With the more seriously anxiety and depression, the elder age and the higher intraocular pressure, the patient's sleep quality was poorer.(4) The health education may improve glaucoma patients'mood of anxiety and depression, improve the patient's sleep quality and reduce the intraocular pressure.
