Objective:To observed and evaluated the objective changes on vocal morphology and voice restoration after treatment of laser, a theoretical basis for the CO2 laser in the treatment of chronic hypertrophic laryngitis is provided to clinical workers. Metheds:13 cases of chronic hypertrophic laryngitis patients who has got the treatment of CO2 laser surgery from April 2014 to August 2015 were collected, including 4 males and 9 females, ageing from 29 to 65 years old, at the average of(43Ā±13) years old. After a follow-up of 6 months, we have compared the preoperative and postoperative changes of electronic laryngoscope and strobe laryngoscope, and we have got objective judgments about the recoveries of vocal cord son morphological structure.Through analyzing the main acoustic parameters with the method of vocal multidimensional [1,2], such as fundamental frequency(FO), fundamental frequency perturbation(Jitter), amplitude perturbation(Shimmer), maximum phonatory time(MPT) and dysphonia severity index(DSI),we have had an comprehensive conclusion that it is valuable and effectively way to cure patients with chronic hypertrophic laryngitis with the treatment of CO2 laser surgery Results1. Preoperative and postoperative changes of vocal cord on morphology: From comparison of the preoperative and postoperative, the hypertrophy of vocal alleviated, and the mucosal wave, periodicity and symmetry improved.2. Comparison between the preoperative group and the normal control group on acouse parameters: MPT and DSI decreased, Jitter and Shimmer increased, there were significant differences in P<0.05, and there was statistically significant difference. Frequency of male and female were compared with the control group have no significant difference.3. Comparison between operation group and postoperative follow-up of the first month, normal control group and after 1 month each on voice parameters: postoperative 1stgroupā€™sparameters compared with the preoperative group,fo, shimmer, MPT and DSI were increased, P < 0.01, statistical significance. However, jitter decreased,P> 0.05, without statistically significant. Compared with the normal control group, jitter and shimmer values still higher, MPT and DSI values lower, P < 0.05, the difference is statistically significant.4. The preoperative and postoperative 3st month follow-up, normal control group and postoperative 3st month follow-up of voice parameters comparison: Fo,MPT and DSI index were significantly higher, jitter and shimmer decreased significantly, P < 0.05, with statistical significance. Compared with normal control group, the ratio, in addition to male Fo values decreased significantly, the voice parameters had no significant difference.5.Follow-up voice parameters of Postoperative 1st month with 3st months, 3st month and 6st months: postoperative 3 months compared with postoperative 1 month, the jitter value decreased significantly, MPT extended, DSI increased, Fo reduced, P < 0.05 and shimmer were few significantly changed. Postoperative 6 months the parameters compared with, there were no significant differences exist. Conclusion:1. From which we can figure out that the voice rehabilitation occurred mainly in the 3st month. 6 months after the operation, changes on each values became little.2. With the treatment of carbon dioxide laser for hypertrophic laryngitis, the morphology of vocal as well as the voice parameters recovered well. Carbon dioxide laser is an effectively treatment to this disease...
