Objective by analysis of clinical symptoms, TCM syndrome differentiation and TCM Treatment on Vocal tics, To explore clinical characteristics, type of syndrome and curative effects of traditional Chinese medicine of Vocal tics.Methods Choose 56 patients who met the diagnostic criteria of children with tic disorder, record and analysis its clinical symptoms, and TCM Typing According to syndrome, divided into Phlegm fire disturbing God,hyperactivity of liver, Spleen Deficiency Hyperactivity of liver,Yin pneumatic four types.Then give treatment according to the syndrome differentiation,treatment for 3 months. Record the results which is on the basis of YGTSS and TCM quantitative table signs on the first day(zeroth days), the fourth week after the first treatment(±2 days), the eighth week after the first treatment(±2 days),the twelve week after the first treatment(±2 days). Then according to the cases data collection, summarized its clinical features, explore the TCM syndrome characteristics, and compared the treatment and TCM symptoms before and after in patients with the disease, observing the curative effect of TCM.Result Vocal tic disorder is easy to be misdiagnosed in clinic, the misdiagnosis rate was 69.64%(39/56); Phlegm fire disturbing God type is more in the TCM type, is 67.86%(38 cases), hyperactivity of liver type is 21.43%(12 cases), Spleen Deficiency Hyperactivity of liver type is 3.57%(2 cases), Yin pneumatic type is 7.14%(4 cases);By syndrome differentiation of traditional Chinese medicine, phlegm fire disturbing God control group 12 cases, excellence in 13 cases, effective 10 cases, invalid 3 cases, the excellence rate was 65.79%, effective rate was 92.11%, The sound of children with tic disorder symptoms improved evidently (P<0.05); Hyperactivity of liver wind control group 2 cases, excellence in 6 cases, effective 3 cases, invalid 1 cases, the excellence rate was 66.67%, efficiency rate was 96.67%; Because of Spleen Deficiency Hyperactivity of liver group, Yin pneumatic were few in number, so the disease curative effect was of little significance.Conclusion Vocal tic disorder often is behaved for throat symptoms, easily confused with respiratory diseases, easy misdiagnosis, so clinicians should pay attention to it; In the traditional Chinese medicine syndromes, phlegm fire disturbing God type comparison occurs. Vocal tics and "phlegm" have close relation.
