The Clinical Effects Of Assisted Reduction With Internal Fixation Plate In MIPPO For The Treatment Of Tibial Shaft Fracture

Objective:To summarize reduction technique of the internal plate with minimally invasive percutaneous plate osteosynthesis(MIPPO) in treatment of tibial shaft fractures.Methods:A retrospective analysis of 50 consecutive cases of tibial shaft fractures was conducted. 27 cases were male, 23 female, aged 8 to 87 years. All patients were treated with closed reduction with the help of internal plate and MIPPO. The reduction result was evaluated through postoperative X rays.Results:In 47 cases, anatomical reduction or functional reduction was obtained by closed mean with the help of internal plate.Conclusion:There is some evidence that internal plate not only provides good internal fixation but also finishes good closed reduction with the help of it in treatment of tibial shaft fractures.
