Expression Of Vimentin In Prepuce Of Different Shapes And Ages

Objective:Measurement and analysis of vimentin expression in different ages and shapes in the prepuce organization.In order to investigate the expression of vimentin and the relationship between ages and shapes expression. Methods:Totally 52 samples of prepuce,there were 22 of phimosis and 30 of abundant prepuce.The expression of vimentin was detected in all samples of prepuce by immunohistochemistry. Results:Expression of vimentin in 52 cases in the prepuce was weakly positive,between the phimosis and redundant prepuce, there was no significant difference in the expression(P=0.441>0.05). The expression of vimentin between phimosis and redundant prepuce in all age groups was not statistically significant(P>0.05). The expression level of vimentin phimosis and redundant prepuce in the man before the age of 15 is slightly higher than those of who were after the age of 15, there were significant difference(t=4.496、2.057,P=000、0.049).After the age of 15, the expression of vimentin in phimosis and abundant prepuce decrease. The expression of vimentin in phimosis and redundant prepuce was negatively correlated with the aging factor(r=-0.746、-0.288,P=0.000、0.123). Conclusion:Vimentin might play an important role in the formation of different shapes of prepuce, the level of vimentin expression in prepuce might be related to the aging factor of males.
