Objective: To observe and evaluate the clinical effect of sacral canal variable drip therapy combined with massage in treating lumbar disc herniation. Offering the reference for the clinical research and extension. Methods: Patients with lumbar disc herniation were selected from Orthopedic trauma and Massage rehabilitation department of hospital affiliated to Gansu university of traditional Chinese medicine during January 2014 to October 2014. According to doctor’s order, 90 cases included in the standard were randomly divided into A, B, C three groups, 30 cases per group. Group A was given the sacral canal variable drip therapy in combination with the massage treatment, group B was given conventional sacral canal therapy in combination with massage treatment, group C was given the simple massage therapy, sacral canal therapy used 1 times a week, 3 times for a period of treatment; massage therapy used every other day at a time, 7 times for a period of treatment. Before and after one course of treatment, three groups of patients were scored respectively with the JOA score system for low back pain score, and calculated the JOA rate of three groups at the end of one period of treatment. According visual analogue score(VAS) to score three groups of patients’ clinical efficacy before and after one course of treatment; three groups of patients were evaluated the clinical efficacy after one period of treatment based on the judgment standard for clinical effect; the follow-up was processed after three months. Using SPSS17.0 software to analyze the data had been obtained.Result:(1)Three groups of patients’ age, gender, course of disease, diseased segments, JOA value and VAS value before treatment, there was no statistically significant difference(P>0.05), all of the three groups were comparable.(2) JOA value and JOA rate: After one course of treatment, Three groups of patients’ JOA value was significantly risen compared with that of before treatment, there was statistically significant difference(P<0.05). Comparing between groups, the JOA value of group B and C was both lower than that of group A, there was statistically significant difference(P<0.05), the JOA value of group C was the lowest; and the JOA rate of group B and C was both lower than that of group A, there was statistically significant difference(P<0. 05), the JOA value of group C was the lowest. 3 months after the end of treatment follow-up, Comparing in the group, the JOA value of group A and B compared with that of after treatment, there was no statistically significant difference(P>0.05), but the JOA value of group C compared with that of after treatment, there was statistically significant difference(P<0.05); comparing between groups, the JOA value of group B and C was both higher than that of group A, there was statistically significant difference(P<0.05), the JOA value of group C was the lowest.(3)Visual Analogue Score(VAS): Comparison in the group, after one course of treatment and 3 months after the end of treatment, each of the three groups’ VAS compared with that of before treatment was significantly reduced, there was statistically significant difference(P<0.05). Comparing between groups, the VAS of group A and B was both significantly higher than that of group C after one course of treatment. 3 months after the end of treatment follow-up, comparing in the group, the VAS value of group A and B compared with that of after treatment, there was no statistically significant difference(P>0.05), but the VAS value of group C compared with that of after treatment, there was statistically significant difference(P<0.05).(4)Clinical curative effect evaluation: After one course of treatment, the total effective rate of group A was 96.67%, the excellent and good rate of group A was 76.67%; the total effective rate of group B was 92.86%, the excellent and good rate of group B was 57.14%; the total effective rate of group C was 68.97%, the excellent and good rate of group C was 27.59%; comparing between group A and B, the total effective rates had no statistically significant difference(P>0.05), both of them was higher than that of group C, there was statistically significant difference(P<0.05); comparing the excellent and good rate between groups, group A was significantly higher than group B and group C, there was statistically significant difference(P<0.05), the excellent and good rate of group C was the lowest.Conclusion:(1)All of the sacral canal variable drip therapy in combination with the massage treatment, conventional sacral canal therapy in combination with massage treatment and the simple massage therapy, has obvious clinical efficacy in treating lumbar disc herniation.(2)The treatment of sacral canal variable drip therapy in combination with the massage is safe and reliable in treating lumbar disc herniation, and has no adverse reaction and complication; compared with the conventional sacral canal therapy in combination with massage treatment, it has more exact curative effect, and will be better to relieve the clinical symptoms of patients with lumbar disc herniation.
