Subjective Quality Of Life In Children With Asthma And Related Factors In A Region Of Xinjiang Province

Objective :To investigate the condition about the subjective life quality of and its influencing factors of children with asthma in the hospital of Xinjiang province, in order to raise the children and their parents’ awareness of the extent of the disease and to provide theoretical and practical basis for improving the quality of life of children.Methods:By face to face interview survey questionnaire method, collected 182 cases of bronchial asthma children’s general conditions and life quality by ISLQ in a hospital pediatric wards and outpatients during December 2013 to June 2014. Data based by Epi Data 3.0 software and with double entry, using SPSS 17.0statistical software for data arrangement, processing and statistics description. The survey data of the normal measurement data using(`c±S)to represented. The survey data of the measurement data using M(P25,P75) said, the count data using the number of cases(percentage) said, using the analysis of variance or rank test method to analysis the Single factors of affecting the asthma children’s life quality. Adopted the method of Multiple linear regression to analysis the multiple factors affecting the asthma children’s life quality.Results:1.Its in the general level of satisfaction(The average score of Quality of life, 152.1±15.54). More than half of the subjective quality of life in children with asthma emotional component, cognitive component and overall score at a satisfactory level. But more than a quarter of children with asthma in the family life, peer interaction, school life, self-awareness and cognitive components are not satisfied. We need to give more attention to the asthma children in physiological, psychological and social aspects. The main factors of the subjective quality of life about the children with asthma in emotional component were times of hospitalization, durations, severities, caregivers’ education levels. The main factors of the subjective quality of life about the children with asthma in cognitive component were educational level,academic records, times of hospitalization, severities, family type, family smoking status, caregivers’ education levels. The main factors of the subjective quality of life about the children with asthma in overall score were times of hospitalization, severities, family type, family smoking status, caregivers’ education levels(P<0.05).2.Through the Multiple linear regression analysis results showed that the main factors of the subjective quality of life about the children with asthma in emotional component were durations, times of hospitalization, caregivers’ education levels, ethnic. The main factors of the subjective quality of life about the children with asthma in cognitive component were severities, caregivers’ education levels, physical Exercise. The main factors of the subjective quality of life about the children with asthma were severities,caregivers’ education levels, physical Exercise, times of hospitalization, ethnic.Conclusion:The affecting factors of asthma children’s subjective life quality were generally demographic data, severity status, times of hospitalizations status, educational level of caregivers status and related factors. Children with asthma need to considered the personal circumstances and family situation andmeasures should be taken to improve their quality of life.
